As my week has come to a close. And I reflect the world
that I have seen.
The poor and weak, holding signs on corners for work or eat.
Passing cars with older couples hands held tight, both looking into their tomorrow's light.
Waiting in lines of traffic a mile long, just to get up to the problem and see what had gone wrong.
A mother and her children the car crushed and upside down,
All the on-lookers crying and standing around.
The waitress at a truck stop telling me all about her day,
and the fact that she doesn't get enough pay.
A fellow trucker telling me its his last run, as he is retiring and gonna have some fun.
My radio plays out songs of times gone by, as I drive on in my mind, I wonder why.
So many people all lost in their on space, we all need to slow down and just pace.
All the fighting and hate I hear on the CB, Sometimes it's so hard, just to be me.
Loving life and living it on the road, seems like everyday brings a new story to be told.
Honking at a couple who just got married, While thinking of the family Who has yet to be buried.
Always with smiles and a wink to be kind, but always with alot
of thoughts in my mind.
This road I live has alot to give, but with some mistakes it also takes.
When you want to leave on a trip, PLEASE, take the extra time to get a grip.
Fasten all the seat belts and check your brakes, I don't want to see anymore mistakes.
