History aside, I think the election (if Perry gets nominated) will be about Obama's job as president vs Perry's job as governor. Perry will get some points for being in the military. That's what it will come down to, , government experience, work experience, personal experience and life experience. Perry trumps the Fuhrer in all those catagories. I dont see such a clear cut advantage for either one. Unless we vote merely on age, which I hope doesnt happen, then PERRY has OBAMA by ten years (thus having LIVED ten years longer to have more experiences in his life) AND has military experience which we need since he will be a war time President. so? just because it is 'wartime' doesnt diminish the need for a healthy economy, civil rights, superior heatlthcare, superior education,,etc,,, it still,for me, doesnt make mere military experience the only or most significant 'qualifier' to lead the country Going on three years in and we still have none of the above.

Yup, he has been great for America.........

how many decades of presidents have we had since we were not in more debt than we HAD ever been in before?....thats not really so significant when Bush made his first budget for 2002, the debt was around 6 trill,, four years later it was around 2 trill greater at 8 trill, four years after that it was around 12 tril( four tril greater than his last term and 6 tril more than when he took office) comparatively Obama, has about the same starting rate, with a debt increase from about 12 tril when he took over the budget in 2009 to 14 tril now,,, if he doesnt raise it another six in the next term, he would have managed to do Better than Bush,,, he hasnt taken more vacation days, or raised taxes, or alienated 'allies', He has been better for America than Bush was or than Mccain would have been,,, |
