why is pornography legal but not prostitution?
i believe i have the right to have sex for money. why does the government stop me? p.s; i'm not a prostitute. |

Good question. They regulate porn stars and they are required to get tested every 4 months or something and the hookers in Nevada are required to do the same thing. I think it should be legal to cut down on STD's. |

i'm all for legalizing it.

do you realize how many jobs would be lost if prostitution was legalized. cities make money by enforcing laws. citizens break laws, then city employees catch them. then the money starts coming in. there is no get out of jail free card. first your car gets impounded, so there is towing and storage fees. if you want out, start with the bondsman. then the lawyer to represent you when you plead no contest. of course you will be convicted, so it's a fine, then probation. probation office collects fees, and the fine (restitution) the judge sentenced you to. not to mention parking fees when you get to the probation office. i'm sure you will needs classes to "rehabilitate" you, so more money there. all this is just the tip of the iceberg

The court dockets are so stressed that the loss of prostitution cases won't make much of a dent in the system. Because we are a litiguous society. |

it's not people bringing lawsuits, it's the city prosecuting the prostitutes and the johns. everyone else just makes money off the cases. the guy who sets up a hot dog stand outside the court house wouldn't be able to send jr. to college

bleh. america and her morals. pshhh. to hell with morals. Why the hell with morals? Everyone can't go around doing whatever they want in society. We have responsibility as a whole to live in some kind of harmony with each other. While you have a right to sell your body, certain laws have to be in place for the protection of everyone. The govt. has made it legal in some parts of Nevada. Not every adult will act responsible if it were made legal, trust me in my line of work I see stupid adults do it all the time. My opinion, it is a degrading line of work. My opinion, so don't thrown stones. |

according to the majority of society,
i have no morals. so meh. i'm going to hell. whatever that is. i dislike it when others decide to tell you what is good or bad for you. if i'm not hurting anyone or anything, why stop me? i don't believe prostitution will interrupt any 'harmony' in this society. as if it existed. |

then why have a seatbelt law. who are you hurting by not wearing your seatbelt
that's a small precautionary thing.
completely different fool. |

it's the same principle. the tickets generate money

I remember when i almost moved into a certain street, but not after the landlady warned me that it was full of prostitutes. I think she knew that kind of lifestyle wasn't for me. I just think don't let it be seen by children, as children should stay children, instead of the influence to grow up too fast.
so the government is only making laws to make money?
********. sure children are suppose to stay children, but why prevent a woman from doing what she wants? aren't there strippers and porn stars already? how are they currently affecting children? |
