Been riding since I was a teenager and now I'm over 50 .... So when does mid life crisis happen ?
Because I think I missed it.
I'll blame that on riding....

Oh Ya ! we have all done the drop of shame
I ditched my GL 1500 at about 50 mph and broke it real good
Now I ride a GL 1800... My pref. is long distance, always searching for that mountain pass

last time i went down i was on a honda cbr1000 doing about 105, the chain snapped locking up the rear tire! that was the worst but liek i said helmets & leather are life savers. by the way i was on a back road that noone hardly ever uses that why i was going that fast. i was able to still ride it back home but only about 20, front wheel got bent bad, not to mention the rest of the bike lol.

Any time you can walk away from a spill.....
Well thank something, I just wonder will I be as lucky the next time ?
But the joy I get from riding far out weighs the risk
And if you don't have some risk in life then where is the fun ?

My dad was a stunt man with his own show so I started riding bikes early. Got my first harley at 14 and rode till I married and had kids.. Rode off and on all my life.. After losing my husband and mom in "07 decided to ride again.. Kids said I had to take the HD riding class, I did and bought an '09 XL Sportster 1200L.. Had to quit riding while I got a new knee but I'm going to the dr on Tues and hoping he will give me the ok to ride again.. I love the freedom of riding and yes, I popped a wheelie one time when much younger.. You guys ain't got nothing over us older women! bigsmile

It's good to here that you are not going to let this stop you from getting on a bike
