I failed at nothing Cowboy.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that I should believe such nonsense.

Those ancient Hebrews did not conduct themselves in a way that merit belief. They were male-chauvinist pigs who proclaimed that God supported their male-chauvinism.

Today they would be viewed as the Taliban.

Would you TRUST the Taliban to speak for God? huh

I sure wouldn't.

There is absolutely no righteous reason why I should believe anything those ancient Hebrews had to say. They were clearly a sick demented society.

If you believe their hateful bigotry represents the "Word of God" then that's your naive failings.

Not mine.

Apparently you do believe that God is as sick and demented as those ancient Hebrews.

I see no reason to believe that the creator of humanity could be that sick and perverted.

Evidently you don't hold such high standards for what you expect God to be like. You'll apparently accept the claims of a sick perverted society like the Taliban, simply because they claim to speak for God.

How naive is that?

If Hitler claimed to be God's Son would you believe that too?

Apparently all he would need to tell you is that God confirmed this by speaking from a cloud and you'd be convinced.

whoa

I realize that some people are easily led, but gee whiz Cowboy there comes a time when you need to actually think for yourself once in a while and question these claims from perverts.

It is your view on the "Christian" God that is sick and demented. Not God himself. There is nothing sick or demented in the bible.

I believe nothing just because I was told. I question anything and everything. God will talk to you if you listen, he will tell you what's right or wrong if you open your heart to him. He does not "reveal" himself to anyone. It was mankind that turned away from God, so if one wishes to have a relationship with God or even know him, they have to go to him.

If you believe that God spoke from a cloud proclaiming that Jesus was his son, then you believe things just because you were told about them or read about them in some ancient fable.

Unless you were there of course.

Which I doubt. You don't look old enough to have been there to me.

No but I have had an in depth conversation with God the father who has enlightened me. Not telling you to believe, not telling you to change your views. That's again where you take it all wrong and all personal. We're here merely discussing our different spiritual beliefs, no one's trying to convince the other. So again, no I don't believe it just because "someone" has told me. I believe it cause I was told and the Holy Ghost comforted me in my findings.

full context of commandments

Exodus 20

(FIRST) “You shall have no other gods before Me.

(SECOND) 4 “You shall not make for yourself [c]an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

(THIRD) 7 “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not [d]leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.

(FOURTH) 8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who [e]stays with you. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.

(FIFTH) 12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

(SIXTH) 13 “You shall not murder.

(SEVENTH) 14 “You shall not commit adultery.

(EIGHTH) 15 “You shall not steal.

(NINTH) 16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

(TENTH) 17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

///how I receive the commandments

1. Worship nothing nor noone ABOVE God.
2. Do not create images/worship images of what has not been seen. Do not make images/worship images which may , in fact, belittle the true greatness of the subject you create the image about.
3. Use Gods name only to call sincerely upon God.
4. Work no more than six days without a day of rest.
5. Be respectful of those whose obligation it is to care and provide for you (traditionally and naturally, your parents).
6. Do not kill unlawfully.
7. Do not have sex outside of with your spouse.
8. Do not take what is not yours, physically.
9. Do not tell lies on others.
10.Do not take what is not yours, emotionally.

Oh wow!

Even Paul only got to talk with Jesus.

Here you are having in depth conversations with God the father.

I had no clue!

Here I am talking directly with someone on the Internet who is closer to God than Paul was.

Gee, lucky me.

So Paul wasn't special.

And Buddha probably talked with God too then.

I see.
