I didn't like it at first because it sounded to manly to me, and in waiting rooms when someone calls for me they always are surprised I'm a lady, they were expecting a man. Why, because my first name is a Spanish last name. So when people read my name they think my first name is my last name and my last name is my first. Wait I'm confused, did I say that right.

My maiden name was "DeNicola", and they used to call me Dena Cola, they thought Dena was my first name, and Cola was my last..

my name is Veronica, named after my mother so everyone called her Ronnie, they nicknamed me Vickie, which I always went by but now that I'm older I kind of prefer being called Veronica. But most of the time I still go by Vickie, which people shorten to Vic (which I dislike) or Miss Vickie. If I could change my name I would pick Angela (Angie) why? I just like it and it just reminds me of that Rolling Stone song about David Bowies ex.

I used to hate my name (Aaron). I learned to live with it.... My Mom told me they had no clue what to name me (I was the first born), so they got one of those 'baby name books' and just picked the first name! I'm glad they didn't use the dictionary! Being named Aardvark would REALLY suck! FYI, if you're choosing a baby name, don't be cruel. Naming your kid with something starting in "Aa" means that they're top on the list to be butt dialed at all hours of the day!
