I seen this a couple of years ago...shshsh the woman was
stupid she went through all the trouble to climb up and over the barrier that was put up to get in the cage with the bears. 
What did she expect the bears to swim up to her and play volleyball?? Animals are in a cage with walls for a reason. Sorry to say this one got what she deserved. One can not blame the bear when she is the one that crossed the line the bears were only doing what was natural to them.

The woman in the PB exhibit is Darwin's law at work! About 10 years ago at Reid Park Zoo one of the female keepers entered the exhibit without checking to see if the bears were locked out and they weren't. They had their way with her and eventually her boots came off so the bears began playing with the boots, now keep in mind the zoo was open when this happened and in conjunction with the boots coming off a visitor to the zoo saw her down there and all the blood and marched to the admission gate to complain about the manequin in the PB exhibit being in poor taste. Needless to say the admissions lady was quite alarmed by this news. |

That woman was probably someone who thought she had some kind of connection to the animal kingdom and that the bear was going to be her friend. I had a large st Bernard dog that loved to snap at people. She did this while wagging her tail. A girl visiting my house felt that she had a special rapport with all dogs. I warned her to keep her distance from the dog but she did not listen. She walked up to pet the dog who was at the fence wagging her tail, and as soon as the girl reached out to pet her.... SNAP! It scared the crap out of her. I said.... "I warned you." (Idiot.) |
