We just recently had a person in a town twenty miles who got his picture on a card. I didn't catch the name or the team he played for but his brother was on the Internet and found the card by accident. According to the radio the person who gets their picture on the card is not given prior notice. I never really collected the cards but loved the gum. I bet there are those who have collected the cards.

If you can get an old card with the right player we are talking major bucks. I can remember the kids trading them when I was growing up. I bet the price has gone up for the gum and cards.

I'm a huge collector. My dad and my grandpa both collected when they were kids. So I have some cards worth mega bucks.

I probably have around 100,000 baseball cards. No lie.

Wow, Robert that is awesome. That is like a family heirloom that just keeps growing. Did your father or grandfather get you interesting in collecting them?

Actually, not really. I became a super huge baseball fan at a young age, and as I got older, my dad showed me his collection and passed it on to me a few years ago. So now with my collection and his, it's massive.

I have heard the Mickey Mantle card is a good one to get.

I bet a Casey Stingle card would be good in anyone's collection. I may not have the last name spelled correctly.

All those would be good to have. Unfortunatley, I don't have either of those two players. But my grandpa collected a Yogi Berra card, he also had a Lou Gehrig card. I've seen Carl Yastrzemski, Stan Musial, Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan (4 rookie cards), Catfish Hunter, and a few Willy Mays cards.

I can't think of the rest off the top of my head, but they're all in perfect to mint condition. A few really good ones are in really good condition, but have a few dented edges and stuff. I try not to look at them, you know.

a few years ago an old lady cleaned out her attic and found the complete set of T206 baseball cards from 1909-1911 including the legendary Honus Wagner rookie card in mint condition she got millions out of the set that is a card lovers dream to find something like that. i collect several thousand topps cards but i think my best topps card is a 1911 T206 card worth like 200 bucks it is mint condition

The market has gone wacky with cards these days. You almost have to have your cards graded for them to be worth the BIG BUCKS!

I agree you have to have stuff graded nowadays. whether it is comic books or cards they are so much more valuable being graded
