Because she is. She is against the MASSIVE spending spree that is going on right now. Obama has spent more money in the first 100 days then President Bush did in 8 years!

I wouldn't call myself a liberal by any stretch of the imagination and she is low on my approval list.
Couldn't agree more. I am 110% not liberal. I cannot stand Palin, she is anti-intellectual.

Unfortunately, I think Palin may be all over. Now that Michelle Bachman is running second to Mitt Romney for the primaries. People are going to forget about Sarah. Imagine that ticket! Romney/Bachman. And we thought Sarah was entertaining!

I don't know much about Bachman. Why do you think she will be more entertaining? That's a tough act to follow.
Ron Paul leads the straw polls.

Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann may hate Medicaid, but it sure looks like her husband doesn't.

Marcus Bachmann's mental health clinic has received more than $137,000 from the very organization his wife likes to slam, according to an NBC News report.

The government aid is in addition to the $24,000 in federal and state funds Bachmann and Associates has already received for staff training programs.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services has allocated the Medicaid funds to the clinic over a period of six years. The funds are aimed at helping low-income mentally ill patients.

Marcus serves as president of the Lake Elmo-based clinic.

The Tea Party favorite insists that her family has not directly received government aid.

"My husband and I did not get the money," Michele told "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace.

She said the funding was solely for employee training purposes.

"[It was] one-time training money that came from the federal government," Michele said. "And it certainly didn't help our clinic."

Wallace did not ask her about the $137,000 in Medicaid payments -- and she did not acknowledge them either.

The congresswoman's spokesperson Alice Stewart said Wednesday that Bachmann and Associates did accept Medicaid funding because it would be "discriminatory" not to do so.

"As a state-sponsored counseling service, Bachmann and Associates has a responsibility to provide Medicaid and medical assistance, regardless of a patients financial situation," Stewart told CNN.

Michele has been an outspoken critic of Medicaid and federal spending programs during her time in office.

She demanded that Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton cancel his planned expansion of Medicaid for 95,000 Minnesotans earlier this year - claiming that the plan would add "recipients to the welfare roll at a very great cost."

"This will be a very bad bargain for an already overburdened, overtaxed state," she said at GOP conference in St. Paul in January.

In 2009, Bachmann told Fox News host Bill O'Reilly that she does not need federal financial support.

"I don't need government to be successful," she said.

The Bachmanns, however, are no strangers to federal aid.

They received more than $260,000 in farm subsidies between 1995 and 2008 for a family farm in Wisconsin, in which Michele is a partner, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Perhaps Ms Bachman Isn't aware of how her businesses are operated.

Looks like she has some 'splainin' to do. Wonder how THIS revelation will play with her Tea Party supporters? Will it be like the old political cartoon from last century with the 3 monkeys named See No, Hear No and Speak No (Evil)?

People have been looking into the business activities of Michelle Bachman's husband, who describes himself as his wife's "political strategist." What kind of business is this clinic that has taken so much Federal money?

This source is a notorious liberal news source, so it's probably all a pack of lies.
http://democratsforprogress.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=6882

Apparently, Marcus Bachman specializes in something called "restorative therapy", a regimen that seeks to "fix" people who are concerned that they may be gay. Good use of Medicare money. The Bachmans have long been known for their anti-gay agenda. There are plenty of sources to corroborate this.

That figures-- and that's how they'll 'sell' this to The Base: that they were only getting reimbursed to do 'God's work'.

It remains to be seen if they can pull this wool over they eyes of the Libertarian branch of the party. They _may_ be able to use her charisma to get the Tea Partiers to turn a blind eye, but I think their karma is going to catch up with them when it comes to the more moderate Libertarians.

While I don't agree with a lot of what Ron Paul espouses, I think the country could do far worse presidentially. As with Bachmann, for example, a loose cannon ideologue who has little regard for accuracy when it flies in the face of her single-minded agenda.

It's a long way to January 2013 and a lot of surprising things are apt to happen. Let's hope a Tea Partier hijacking the election via the hijinks like the Florida 2000 debacle isn't one of them. Personally, I think Mitt Romney has a chance despite all the Tea Party gnashing of teeth.

Palin Family Leaves Empty Mall of America Book Signing Half Hour Early

IS THIS THE END OF SNOWBILLY GRIFTING? The jihadist conspiracy of elitist liberal shopping mall patrons struck with merciless force yesterday at Minnesota’s Mall of America: only 300 people showed up to attend the Sarah and Bristol Palin book signing of Bristol’s new memoir about her life as a drunk pregnant teenager. The family abandoned the stage half an hour before the end of the time slot because there was nobody left. So are we at last witnessing the sad finale of Real American Freedom? Our true patriots are no longer willing to give up fifteen of their last dollars to support the unemployed offspring of this screeching, nightmare opportunist woman. Wait wait, oh come on, uh, how about if Sarah Palin says, “The Constitution of the United States is fricking awesome” three times out loud to anyone in line? Will they hand her some of those crumpled, sweaty dollars in that case?

From the CityPages:

The rules set up by Mall of America officials for Sarah and Bristol Palin’s book signing yesterday seemed to have been written in anticipation of an army of fans.

“‘Camping out’ is not allowed,” the rules read. “Beginning at 5 a.m., guests will be allowed to line up.”

But there was no teeming crowd of rabid Palinites at 5 a.m. And less than a half hour into the appearance of Bristol, Sarah and Todd Palin, the crowd had dwindled to a trickle of latecomers.

Palin has also dropped down to single digits among likely voters in a new Fox News poll. Can we say that America has finally started to quit Sarah Palin? Because we can’t say it any other way. [CityPages]

People aren't jealous of Sarah Palin. Some people like her and some do not.

reasons- Political difference, quitting in the middle of her administration, Talking down on Obama for using a prompter when she was writting on her hand, mispurnouncing words, and quotes like "But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." --Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010. The New York times was being childish asking to search through her Emails. (although under the freedom of information act they where in the legal right) She could have been the bigger person knowing there was nothing to find. instead she stoopped down to thier level of childnish by sending them the whole thing in documents form (wasting so much paper)Thats just not how a leader acts.

thats why people make fun of here. It's the curse of the spotlight. Is it right tho... No! Im not a Palin supporter and I am a journalism major and I will tell you this. The media does take personal shots at Sarah palin

Bachmann Only Got Law Degree Because Her Husband Told Her To, Urged Women To ‘Be Submissive To Your Husbands’
By Tanya Somanader on Jul 6, 2011 at 1:00 pm

The Bachmanns
Late last month, the House GOP freshmen women stormed the House floor to combat the GOP’s “war on women” image. As Politico reports, the “rock ribbed, younger conservative working mothers” members launched the “I am a Republican woman” coordinated campaign to paint the Republican agenda as distinctly pro-woman. GOP Reps. Kristi Noem (SD) and Sandy Adams (FL) pounded the message of women as trailblazers in Congress and at home, pointing to a Prudential Financial study that says “84 percent of married women are either the chief or joint financial executors of their families” and “decision-makers of their households.” Notably missing from this Republican “pro-woman boosterism,” however, was GOP presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN).
Indeed, the AP reports that the coordinated speeches were a chance for Republican women to explicitly make clear “what they stand for and, implicitly, who they are not: Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.” Given Bachmann’s belief on the role of women, their effort to distance themselves is not entirely surprising. As the Washington Post’s profile of Bachmann’s husband today notes, Dr. Bachmann — not his wife — is the decision-maker of the household, and that “is an article of faith within the family.” An article that, in 2006, Rep. Bachmann preached to a congregation. Noting that she only pursued a law degree because her husband “told her to,” Bachmann told women in the audience “The Lord says: Be submissive, wives“:
“He is her godly husband,” said Peter Bachmann, Dr. Bachmann’s oldest brother, who lives on the family dairy farm across the eastern border in Wisconsin. “The husband is to be the head of the wife, according to God.” It is a philosophy that Michele Bachmann echoed to congregants of the the Living Word Christian Center in 2006, when she stated that she pursued her degree in tax law only because her husband had told her to. “The Lord says: Be submissive, wives. You are to be submissive to your husbands,” she said.
The fact that Bachmann needed permission from her husband to pursue an education, let alone public office, certainly cannot sit well with the “trailblazing” ways of the new GOP congresswomen. Noem, after all, decided to run for office in order “to stand up and defend” her principles presumably without asking her husband for permission. Adams left her marriage to a Navy officer at 22 “to escape an abusive relationship” and then “worked two jobs while studying for her GED.” As an advocate for victims’ rights, would she support Bachmann’s principle of submission?
Bachmann herself rejects the title of “feminist,” envisioning herself instead as an “empowered American.” But given that she attributes her critical life decisions to her husband, the question must be asked: Empowered by whom?

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2011/07/06/261363/bachmann-women-submissive-to-husbands/

Marcus Bachman describes himself as his wife's "campaign strategist". I can only imagine how this is going to play with America's women if Bachman gets the nomination.

...why, are so many liberal/feminist women jealous of Sarah Palin accomplishments ???

Is it Palin's "sex appeal" combined with the abrupt and audacious way she captured the national limelight during the 2008 presidential campaign...made women jealous ?

Was it because the devil in the red dress wasn't orating like a professor, it roused an unquenchable forest fire of rage and loathing in the breasts of many women, perhaps of the toiling [gray mouse in a pantsuit] variety, who projected onto her their own career resentments and personal frustrations ?

I mean, feminists have long blamed male oppression for women’s cat fights. Will this time (2012) feminists engage themselves again in personal insults at Sarah Palin ?

Who more than any of their feminist standard-bearers seems to not only have “had it all” but to have done it all, and still remained her soul ?... Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi ???

Are the attacks rooted in something much deeper than simple political disagreements ?

I think, that what the feminists hate is that on the job, Palin is one of the boys.
" That Palin thinks like a man, or logically, is what has made the left livid. As appropriate to their modes, they respond emotionally. The men in their movement, who have become one of the girls in terms of thinking, respond with personal insults, even going so far as to mock the looks of her baby, as Bill Maher recently did.

And you know what, liberal women have a real hard time with a woman that becomes successful while thinking outside their enclosed box. They like to control all people with abortion, health care, euthanasia, open borders, public school religion, attacks on Christianity and the Bible including attacks on sexy fertile bunnies (like Sarah) and they will always support government control, degenerative sex culture and the wiccan culture of death, any time and every time before common sense, logic and sense of responsibility of others.

In my opinion, liberal women are nothing else but frustrated hens that hate the roosters and do not come close in their looks to a well centered and grounded conservative hen like Sarah.

Bottom line, woman (liberal or not) will always be jealous about other woman's looks before anything else, she will be jealous about later.

So, do they hate Sarah because of what she is and represents to them ?...or simply because they are jealous of what she accomplished & accomplishes on her own as a strong independent and beautiful woman ??????????????

what whoa spock

There is no jealousy there at all. And it is not just liberal and/or feminist who feel this way about her.

Sarah represents what most women are ashamed of in our gender.

The ditsy, self absorbed, brainwashed, hypocritical, shallow, etc... the only thing she has to offer is she is eye candy which isn't a problem except eye candy shouldn't talk much or it ruins the facade.
