Grim Prairie Tales: Hit the Trail... to Terror

Two travellers, one a well to do young clark on the way to a reunion with his wife, the other a scruffy, feral bounty hunter meet at sundown on a lonely prairie and agree to swap stories to pass the time. This is a portmanteau film featuring four intriguing stories linked by the two story teller's attempts to psych each other out.

I liked this one.

We just can't say anthology, no, so much fancier to say portmanteau.

The Nesting '81

A writer suffering from agoraphobia rents an isolated house so she can concentrate on her writing. She doesn't know that the house is a former brothel, and is inhabited by the ghosts of dead prostitutes.

"Holy haunted hookers, Batman!"

This had some genuine creepy moments. Spooky house- it was filmed at The Armour-Stiner Octagon House- Irvington-On-Hudson, New York

Red, in case you didn't see my post, you should check out this house where The Nesting was filmed. I love it when horror movies film inside real houses/locations.

Dead hookers. I think I'm overloading on breast scene exposures. haha. I'll look for this now. :)

Also check out the link to the house.

Not a lot of nudity, surprising since the director is more known for adult movies. I thought the film was very atmospheric, and there were some creepy scenes. It has a very The Shining-like feel to it.

The Dance Room looks very interesting. Even without any furniture, it's very striking and gives a long-lasting impression.

Another good horror-western anthology is Into The Badlands '91.

The right house can really help the movie, another example is Unhinged, it was shot in Portland Oregon in the early 80's at the Pittock Mansion.

I like this show! Granted it's nothing at all like the book it's supposedly adapted from(The Colorado Kid by Stephen King) But I like it.

I like all the little references they make to Stephen King's works.

I spotted Stephen in the bar in one show. I kind like the guy that runs the boat house restaurant.
