According to the United States Census Bureau,
the population has reached 6.91 billion and the
scientists are expecting it to reach 7 billion
in end of 2011.

The population has been growing steadily since 1350.
The population is still increasing and is expected to
grow up to 10.5 billion by 2050.

Asia accounts for about 60% of the world population,
having about 4 billion people. Africa accounts for 15%
of the world population, having about 1 billion people.
Europe accounts for 11%, Latin America accounts for 9%,
North America accounts for 5% and Australasia accounts
for less than 1% of the world’s population.

I would have to disagree there. There is a limited amount of food on this planet and a limited amount of space. Population will be a huge problem and probably in many of our lifetimes.

truly, the efforts of PEOPLE is what helps to produce food.

Between the sixties and today the world population has doubled and food production has kept pace. I dont fear that that will change. The worst I think that will happen is people will learn to cut back a bit on their PORTION of the food, which is a good thing. or perhaps 'technology' will finally find a way to create those necessary nutrients in simple pill forms. Im not fearful of the world running out of food, Im more fearful of it running out of 'patience' with each other.

Yeah, europe and latin america are surprises because North America is larger (Geographically)

I would expect the two largest contintents (Africa and Asia) to lead in population, no surprise there
