Congressional candidates must pledge support for Israel's military to receive campaign funds


Former US lawmaker Cynthia McKinney says every candidate for Congress has to sign a pledge to vote for supporting the military superiority of Israel.

"Every candidate for Congress at that time had a pledge. They were given a pledge to sign ... that had Jerusalem as the capital city," McKinney said in an interview with Press TV on Sunday.

"You make a commitment that you would vote to support the military superiority of Israel that the economic assistant that Israel wants that you would vote to provide that," she added.

McKinney said that if a candidate does not sign the pledge or perform accordingly, "then you do not get money to run your campaign."

The former Congresswoman said that after she made the pledge issue public "the tactic changed."

"But this is what is done for 535 members of the United States Congress, 100 senators and 435 members of the House of Representatives have to now write a paragraph which basically says the same thing."

He comments came as US President Barack Obama vowed to sustain Israel's military superiority over its neighbors at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's (AIPAC) annual gathering on Sunday.

"We (the US) will maintain Israel's qualitative military edge"... "We have increased military financing to record levels," Obama said.

Does anyone know why we suck up to Israel to the tune of at least 3 billion a year? My thinking is our aid to this country has created alot of trouble in the world.

Why should we support Israel? They are the only democracy in the Middle East. They are the only Middle Eastern country where diversity of religion is actually embraced, Muslims have more freedom in Israel than in any Muslim nation. They are the only Middle Eastern country whose major exports aren't oil, terrorism or drugs. They do our dirty work for us, like taking out Nuclear Reactors of rogue nations. And they are a target for an ongoing war of Arabs vs Jews that has been going on since the turn of the last century.

true but coming from the military and having spend time in Isreal. One of the biggest reasons we support them is they allow us to do things that dont happen, in countries we shouldnt be in AND they take the blame for it happening. This has happened many times and will happen again and again. Plus, they are a good people that are just coming into thier own. They have only been a country of their own for what 40 or 50 years?

Seriously this former lawmaker is on record stateing that Israel has our represenatives sign a pledge, this is big news.

I would love to have it investigated to proove either the woman is nuts or its true.

If we had an honest media this story would be persued to its conclusion either yes its true or no she lies.

Zionism and Imperialism. Most people don't get anything good out of the arrangement. However, numerous politicians get bribes from the Israeli lobby. The military-industrial complex also benefits because as long as Israel is afford some special "favored nation" status, there will always be money coming in because the very nature of that regime is unstable and results in conflict.

I think the U.S. should follow Israels footsteps when it comes to our military, handling terrorists and performing checks at our airports.

We spoke earlier about the five celebrating Israeli "movers", (Mossad agents), who were arrested and placed in solitary confinement for weeks after they were spotted in a white van suspected of attempting to blow up the George Washington Bridge. We also reviewed how the Israeli owner of Urban Moving Systems - Dominick Suter - then suddenly abandoned his "moving company" and fled for Israel on 9-14. But there were still more Israeli "movers" and other Israelis whose actions raise serious suspicions. Even more suspicious is how they are always quietly released and deported.
In October of 2001, three more Israeli "movers" were stopped in Plymouth, PA because of their suspicious behavior. These "movers" were seen dumping furniture near a restaurant dumpster! When the police spotted the truck, two other Israelis - Ayelet Reisler and Ron Katar began acting suspiciously. The Plymouth police searched the truck and found a video. The Israelis were taken into custody and the video tape was played at the police station. The video revealed footage of Chicago with zoomed in shots of the Sears Tower. The police quickly alerted the FBI and it was also discovered that the Israelis had falsified travel logs and phony paperwork on them. (1) They were also unable to provide a name and telephone number for the customer that they claimed to have been working for. These Israelis were up to some sort of dirty business, and you can be sure it had nothing to do with moving furniture. These Israeli spies may have had a dark sense of humor. The name of their "moving company" actually contained the word MOSSAD embedded inside. Moving Systems Incorporated. MOving SyStems IncorporAteD...MOSSAD

On October 10, 2001, CNN made a brief mention of a foiled terrorist bomb plot in the Mexican Parliament building. They promised to bring any further developments of this story to their viewers, but the incident was never heard of again in America. Former Rep. Cynthia McKinney appeared on Muammar Qaddafi's state television channel to support the Libyan dictator and to criticize President Obama.

The Green Party must be so proud! McKinney is a former Democratic Representative from Georgia who switched to the Green Party in 2008, in order to run for President.

The former Georgia representative also slammed the economic policies of U.S. President Barack Obama and said the government of the United States no longer represents the interests of the American people.
