Why do some people lead others on? They pretend to be nice and sincere, and then you find they treat you like s***. They don't deserve to get away with it. Never go back to those types. Hmmmm.

Hmmmm... trouble is there are alot - I mean A-LOT of people who lead you on and treat you like ****! In the beginning these kind of people
can be very appealing and seem to be just fine...

then have no problem ripping your heart out and using it as a door mat.......grumble

If you can spot them early -more power to ya! But it's not always easy

It is called manipulation. They act "good" until they think they are in and then they show their real selves to you.

You are right the only way out of that situation if you get into it is to leave and never look back.

And as long as you allow them to abuse you then that is what they will do.

Because in general; people are selfish and generally nasty. They are only out there to please themselves and don't care who they hurt along the way. I am sorry you had to go through that but I honestly believe what goes around comes around. Just don't let them get to you and stay strong. flowerforyou

boy oh boy do I hope u are correct. I just wish I could be there to watch ithuh

I have seen it many times in my life. My ex for example that took advantage of living with me, didn't pay his way, and hit me. He went to jail, his family turned their back on him, he lost his job, and is now homeless. Although, I must admit I feel sorry for him going through all that.

well I would never wish that on my ex....but he has had his share of problems that's for sure. I get no satisfaction from his problems - only from my own sucesses

This is true. However after we broke up; I lost my job and he was rubbing it in on how much money he was making. Never did offer to pay back some of the money he owed me. He was a cruel man that hit me and called me horrible names because of his drinking. I never did anything to hurt him and would have done anything to help him stop drinking. So it just goes to show that if you treat someone badly; it will come back to them.

People always show their best face first....to impress, to hook, to catch the interest of others.

It is hard to sustain something that is not a natural state.

I suspect these kind of people, once they have 'hooked' their interest, relax...and then all the not so attractive stuff shows itself.

The leading on thing....it can also stem from poor self esteem...an illusion of who they wish they were painted on...a mask...which eventually has to slip...imagine the energy involved in constantly pretending to be something you are not?...exhausting!

In all things, 'let the buyer beware'...
