I got this email today...
There are no ugly women - - just fixer uppers! Look carefully, they're in the same order. It's just amazing what money can do..........................Also read below the picture This photo below was taken at a competition in June 2008 involving 9 women for best makeover. They had every possible beauty treatment available to them over a period of 12 hours before the contest. Look at the before and after photos. Conclusion - there are no ugly women only poor women. The woman 2nd from the left won the contest. Anyone had a make over lately? Post your photos. |

Does this mean that beauty, for women, means long hair?
It looks like the Stepford Wives on steroids. (Ever see that movie?) It was creepy. |

.. Kinda makes you wonder what a man means when he says he wants "a real woman." Does he really? |
|

I would have never considered any of those ugly before the make over.
IT does remind me of something cute someone once said to me about 'ugly' people,,,,she didnt use the word,,she called them 'asthetically challenged' and would say things like that they had an 'unfortunate face' she was such a card,,,lol |

I dunno. There are two or three of the before pictures that I can see some real possibilities in. Men are always complaining that women want to take a sow's ear and change him. Are women up for the same thing?

Not bad I was quoted about 100 bucks for the ones applied at the salon made to perfectly match your own hair.., Looks great when its in |

Yes, but are the "fixer Uppers" real. Some have ditched their glasses, have hair extensions, breast uplifts. All wear sexy revealing dresses. Is that the real them?
Glasses, short hair, REAL breasts, modest dresses, can be just as sexy. Sexier if you want my opinion. None of these before pictues are any of the women ugly. Reminds me of some weight loss ads; of course a 230 lbs woman is going to look bad in a bikini bathing suit especially if it's next to her at 140 in the same bikini bathing suit. Ron |

Are women up for the same thing? So of course we all (I) want to know which two or three have real possibilities and what does that even mean? Possible to be what?? To my way of thinking these woman are real and have lives and are loved for who they are. In the after pictures they look like variations of Barbie dolls. Just saying no 'make over' for me, thanks just the same! |

First things first.....
In the "Before" pix: The chicks had put zero effor into thier looks.. None of them brushed thier hair. No make up. The most shapeless and drab tops that they could find. (grim reality) The "After" pix are the overkill of a squadron of Hair dressers, airbrushing make up artists, push up bras with boob tape, and top of the line gowns with built in corsets. ((unrealistic fantasy) I would hope for a happy medium. I don't think anyone expects story book/ fashion magazine perfection.... But, then again....for me....not even trying to groom is completely unacceptable. |

I don't wear alot of make-up-
some mascara, light foundation, and lip gloss -that's about it for me unless I have a family function or something to go to.... but if I had the chance at a make-over I would take it |
