being watched and even touched....

Is what I've been experiencing since I moved into a
little apartment a couple of months ago. I couldn't
sleep in the bedroom at all, so now I just don't....
It's not so much frightening as strange.
Waking up in cold sweats, shaking, thinking it was
someone talking that woke me up.... yet
no one is there.

Well, I just found out 2 days ago that the woman who
lived there before me died in her sleep, in her bed...
in my bedroom.
She has a very strong presence and although I don't
feel threatened at all, there is a constant creepy-ness
at all times.
I have a few ideas of my own, wondering if anyone
else has any ideas how to help her 'move on'.

Lori.....you know what needs to be done...

the way I would choose to do this is to strip the room....take every single thing out...if you cannot remove the floor coverings, then have them cleaned, and as they are, thank her, and then remind her she is to move on...

I would wash every scrap of wall, ceiling, light fixtures, window sills, every scrap of the room...cupboard if there is one...and whilst doing this would continue to repeat, quietly, and with love, that is time to move on...

I would evoke a sacred circle once the room was cleaned...and cleanse the room...salt or lavender or both the whole room....again asking for sacred space, and reminding her it is time to leave this plane...

if the house came furnished....I would store the furniture elsewhere, after cleaning, and cleansing it.

I would sit in the room....in it's emptiness within my circle and gently send her love...to move on.

Afterwards I would close the circle....eat, bathe and open all the windows in the whole house overnight...then reclaim the room as mine.

Thanks Jessflowerforyou

I did an opening of sacred space and a 'routine' cleansing as I always do when I'm at a new place. That ritual is to empty out the dwelling of 'bad' stuff. She is not bad so another approach is needed.

I'll plan a little something, something

Thanks again, nice to see some on here know this stuff isn't nuts.

Could tell her to join afterlife M2, so she can find a ghostly date on the other side. Then just say please move on, or invite her to tea.

Or her presence could be a warm invite to never be alone. Find time to talk with her. Let her know you care but the time is now for you to move on, visit with other love ones that are now missing her. JMO.

Too easy Lori...flowerforyou

What comes to mind though, is that you may have cleansed your space....but she is 'imprinted'...attached to her place of death...

so she needs 'help' to move on...and I know you know, she needs love, not fear....(sorry but if it is creepy...then there is an element of instinctual fear, however mild...and the fact you don't go in there, kind of tells me so... )

Hugs across the ether to you....

Lori you are sensitive to things like this- where some other people might not even notice a thing.

Try what Jess has suggested -I'm sure this spirit will move on

I have to say though when I moved into my house years ago
I couldn't get the feeling of the former residents out of my head
and felt it strongly in some rooms- and they are alive!

Their energy was still in the house! It took a while for me to shake the feeling and change paint, walls etc...

but it will happen...flowerforyou

^^this! The first place I lived when I moved out of my parents house at 18 had the presence of my roommates grandfather. We co-habitated, but sometimes when I had a guy over lights or the stereo would come on & off and they would freak out & never come back...LOL! Come to think of it, he likely ran off what I didn't need around. His presence was kinda comforting most of the time. Haha...makes me wonder if he is still there since my friend still owns the place. My friend said that I was the only person that lived in that room to ever notice him!

Ok, I did a ceremony last night. I opened sacred space by calling on the 4 directions and my power animals. I left the space open through the night with a candle burning.
I did converse with her..her name is Rusti, she is around my age and native american. I'm not so sure she died in her sleep, if that is the case then death in sleep is not so peaceful, at least not for her. There is, was a fair amount of violence, she felt her demise coming and the feelings of doom were, are very strong for her.
She is still there (in my home) today, not as intense and she does understand she has to move on. She is reluctant and worried about her animals,
I don't know anything about her animals.

Jess, I have to go in that room, it's the bedroom and the way to the bathroom. Also my clothes and such. I just couldn't sleep in there.
Again, not terribly frightening, just couldn't sleep. Up all night, being woke up. I will admit it is creepy though, just not a scarey creepy. I'm not done, I'll implement your ideas in as I do more work.

I used my ritual and added the lavender you mentioned. Also sage and nag champa. I did some drumming and used a native chant and left a drumming for journing cd going through the night.
I slept throught the night for the first time in at least a month and the feeling in the house is better, different, less intense.
Like I said, she is still there though.

What a gift this all has been. I love that she has come to me, another experience, an opportunity to help and hopefully spiritual growth.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts.

IDK, I grew up in a house that was haunted. I don't think anyone died, but I did sense some very dark spirits.

Another house I lived in used to be a meth lab. In my room were names of some people who died there, even one person I knew and went to school with. I felt an energy there, not sure if it was really anything or not though.

I never did anything about this kind of stuff, but I am pretty sensitive to it.

Well, that's kinda what we have been doing. Only I'm alive and paying the rent now and she has other things to do.
I don't think she wants to be 'stuck' here, she wants to move on.
It's a process, sometimes. flowerforyou

hello. my name is mark and my brother's name is chuck.
hes 4 years older and i believe he is closer to the Neather
realm then i.
if you feel strange about your surroundings? trust them.
thats what he"s always said to me.
i have only a little "feelings"
when i go place"s but when "ITS" there you know it.
theres only a couple things that works in my past 2 experience's
with him and his home's.
DO NOT INVITE THEM IN @ all cost.
no wigi bords or other wise devices.
they are not gueset in your home.
evoke any spirit in your house to leave.
they are dead and gone(be respectful).
they have no purpose here anymore(UNLESS the sprit is angery).
any strong or hated spirits will remain until they see fit.
best of luck.
