Has anyone heard anything about this date? I've been hearing snips on the radio about an earthquake and recently there have been billboards popping up all over Baltimore about it. What is the significance?

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Edit

• April 21, 2011. Judgment Day. Kyle Reese and Derek Reese witness the launch of U.S. missiles while playing ball in their yard.

[1]
As a result of temporal interference by Sarah Connor, her son John, Miles Dyson, and the T-800[2] destroying Cyberdyne headquarters and all backups of the research in 1995, the date for Judgment day is moved back to here.[3] Skynet is destined to go online a few days earlier on April 19, 2011 at 20:11 .

What do the billboards say?

I was wrong... It's May 21 and it's being reported that it is the first day of a five month period of torment before the world is consumed in fire on October 21.

yea and that date will come and go and they will make excuses and claim thier calculations were wrong.

wow the supreme being they are talking to apprently makes mistakes ,huh?

but people will listen and say how great they are because people are foolish and love Lies.

Now 420 does have significance.

I will never forget the Headlines about a guy in Missouri who sought a treaty in the State capitol and was on the fron page of the paper.

" Chief Wanna-Dubie Seeks Treaty with Missouri"

see he wanted to claim Indian Heritage and said the Mary Jane Plant was Holy.

And on 4 20 of each year he had a festival of Planting his MJ plant as a American Indian Ritual.

I found His name Chief WannaDubie quite Hilareous..laugh laugh drinker love

What happens to these people who make these wild predictions after they don't come to pass? Are they ever heard from again? Are they outcasts in their circles?

To those of you who do believe what the Bible teaches....

Jesus himself said that no one knows the day or the hour of his return, NOT EVEN HIMSELF. Only God knows.

If it was just a matter of cracking some Biblical code to figure it out, don't you think Jesus would already know? Don't worry about when the world is going to end or when Jesus will return. Do what you're supposed to be doing in the here and now and quit worrying and speculating.

...as a thief in the night...

See that ye be not troubled:
For all these things must come to pass,
but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom:
And there shall be famines, and pestilences,
and earthquakes in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

I guess what I'm saying is yes, you're right that we can't predict the end. However, I believe that we will be given signs before the end comes. It just depends on whether you are paying attention or not...

Verily, he comes like a thief in the night. It is written. And if we knew when he came we would lock up our valuables. But just as you lock your door each night in anticipation of the thief, we must prepare our hearts and souls by giving glory to God. We can't spend our time guarding our valuables any more than we can live in fear of the end. But the time is NOW to receive His forgiveness, thank Him for his creation and prepare for everlasting life in his kingdom of heaven.

But, isn't the time always now? Whether the world ends on May 21 or not, anyone of us could die at any minute. My problem with these kind of predictions is that they become a joke when they inevitably don't come to pass. They take the focus off the real issue which is salvation which must be worked out by the individual man. Threats of worldwide destruction, especially since they don't come to pass, are not effective in getting people to repent and turn to God.

Of course the time is always now. The biggest problem I have with this prediction is that the website sponsoring this global marketing of "May21" is also collecting donations. What does that tell you? If they truly believed in what the bible says, and believed the end was 35 days away, they would be giving their fortunes away! It's easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Such an open statement...

"See that ye be not troubled:
For all these things must come to pass,
but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom:
And there shall be famines, and pestilences,
and earthquakes in divers places. "

Since Nations became Nations in the ancient past...

Nation has allwise rose up against nation and kingdom against kingdom... Humans are such children.

Throughout recorded history have been famines and pestiliences.

and as for earthquakes.

at any given week there are some 200-300 earthquakes worldwide...

(i.e. 'diverse places')...

so this 'quote' is nothing more than smoke and mirrors... It could be taken to mean any measured time frame from the begining of Time-as-we-know it... to time as it is now.
