Topic: Right-Wing Bullies | |

I see it no different than the President saying he will veto something if it is not his way. Why would you expect him to do it your way? He obviously doesn't share your opinions, and I certainly don't either.
Who ever said anything about my way? Even if we were talking about my way would you even know what that would be? It sounds like you support bullying if you agree with the bully. |

I see it no different than the President saying he will veto something if it is not his way. shutting down the government has a bit more of an impact on the immediate livelihoods of citizens than vetoing a bill does though besides that there is a bit of a difference a doctor saying he will not perform an operation is a bit different than a husband holding the operation at a pause until his wife signs certain papers one thing prevents something from happening, another thing STOPS something already in process and most presidents use their veto powers very rarely, I imagine, out of having enough respect for the process to abide by the decisions of congress even if they dont PERSONALLY agree,,, |

A bill moving through the house and senate can be stopped by a veto. The shutdown is less preventing people from being paid thus many government agencies wouldn't reopen after closing on a day. It really depends on your perspective. If we want a even more accurate example though the libs have been talking a lot about unions lately. What if we compared it to a Union strike? The point I am making is it is not bullying. What congress is doing is in their rights. They feel people voted them in to cut spending and some are probably right. If they are doing what needs to be done to get the job done at least someone is willing to step to the plate and do it. |

Frankly folks a shut down of the government is a failure of the government! And again they failed us! They are not there for us if they are shut down. What are we paying them for exactly? There is a schism growing between career politicians and those who really want to do a conscientious job for America. The career politicians are fighting tooth and nail to keep the entitlements that get them reelected in place. Our government has become an outdated computer of the 1970s that is trying to keep up with modern times. It has way too many useless additions, bells and whistles, and unnecessary junk attached that the energy put into the machine to produce a resultant yield for us has become a point way past diminishing returns. It is now a useless black hole of redundancies that suck our tax dollars away. Having Para government agencies like The Federal Treasury and the IRS has done more harm than good to reeling in the roots of a growing problem. Instead of having to deal with some pesky vines we have been over grown with Strangler Fig Trees!
We need to tear down the machine we have now and build a "GREENER" more efficient government machine. Not drive around in the smoking wreck of a gas guzzling car we have become. |

It sounds like you support bullying if you agree with the bully. Now, that's irrational. Preident Obama is the president. None of those people in the House or the Senate or you are the President, but Obama is the President. He alone is vested with the power of veto because it his job to have final approval over what Congress does. Congress still has the right to over-ride. When you have a President of your choosing, then he will have the same power. I don't call that bullying. I cal it the rules of the game.

SHOW ME THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE ALREADY! NOT A 2007 BIRTH DOCUMENT. $2 dollars to prove he was born here? Come on! If you are not hiding something you just show the GOD DAMN DOCUMENT! Otherwise the hospital you were born in will have their own copy of it somewhere.
On top of that the Electoral College voted him in. Not US or is there something to the Electoral College system I don't get? They don't have top vote based on what we want you know! Jeb Bush gets elected and the Left Wing goes crazy screaming VOTER FRAUD. When people do that about Obama it is "Your all just racist." Suddenly the Right Wing is acting all crazy according to the Democrats and Liberals. I hope Mr. Trump and his BILLIONS can uncover the Fraud that is Obama! And when he does time for some real civil unrest! I am sure Obama has him some big ole skeletons in his closet just itching for some day light! |

And its apparently in the rules that the can shutdown the government. If it wasn't it the rules it wouldn't be allowed to happen. |

And its apparently in the rules that the can shutdown the government. If it wasn't it the rules it wouldn't be allowed to happen. Well, yeah. That is his Constitutional power. Fortunately, the threts haven't been comiong fro his office. In fact, he's been practically begging the congress to work in a bi-partison fashion to avoid a shut-down. I think he has done a pretty good job of trying to be even-handed in his appeals.

I think Jesse Ventura wants to run...oh wait, he's a liberal. ![]() Jesse Ventura is a conspiracy nut. I'm not sure how much of it he really believes, but he needs something for that thing he calls a television show. |

As our esteemed el presidente once proclaimed "elections have consequences".
Republicans, especially tea party backed republicans weren't going to Congress without an axe in their hands prepared to chop off the BS in the budget. Unless you are a fringe leftist nutjob, no one actually believes that being $14 TRILLION in debt is a roadmap to prosperity. I differ with the republicans on the idea that we can reduce the deficit and debt without raising taxes. It is not realistic. I would suggest that EVERYONE including those that pay nothing in income taxes pony up atleast 1% of what they make in a year so we can all wallow in the misery that the baby boomer generation has laid upon us. The rest of us that actually pay income taxes will have to take the hit in the short term and pay more. There is no way around it. Has to be done if we are going to be serious about fixing the mess that previous incompetent generations have left us. |
