You will not get a annulment sience the marriage was consumed and have a child together. Every State having they own law so here we go : In the state of Illinois you can fille for a divorce where you reside for at lease one year with your husband. In your case by not
Knowing his current address , the court will post a add in a newspaper and if your husband doesnt relply within 30 days your divorce start being process by court. Simple and easy. By the way, many lawyers are taking monthly payments if you can't afford to pay up on front. Best luck.

Not totally true. Ya have to be Catholic and tithe 10% of your yearly income, but one can get an annulment.

A friends ex-wife is now getting an annulment after the divorce. Despite have a 17 year old son together and being married for 17 years, the Church is more then happy to make her a virgin again, apparently.

on the SLIGHT chance an attorney may be trolling these threads,,lol

I have a pickle. I REALLy really want to get divorced. I dont have the thousands I would need to hire an attorney for my situation but I dont have the information I would need to file myself.

My (husband) is a non resident alien/UK citizen. I have not spent time with him since may of 2009 and prior to that had not seen him for a year. Hence to say, we have LITTLE real life contact or interactions so that I am essentially a single mom to our toddler daughter. ,,anyway,,,,I have been WAITING for the time when I had the funds to hire an attorney but the present economy has made that wait longer than I ever anticipated so I want to do the divorce myself. The problem is, my (husband) is being less than cooperative, does not want to give me his address, threatening he wont sign if he gets papers,,etc,,,

IM really stuck cause I really want to document that we are no longer 'married'. ,,,,,,any suggestions at all of how I can do this without coming out of pocket quite as much?

annulment, maybe? he is overseas...

do you think it meets anullment requirements? I will have to look that up.

Yes, absolutely. If you can supply DNA samples at the same time to prove that the kid is not his. Whatever else went on in your marital bedroom, nobody can prove, you can lie about it as much as you want. Who's going to tell?

That is a double-edged sword, though, I admit. Depends which you hanker for more: Divorce or moral reputation.

------- I am joking, Ms. Harmony!! Friendly banter. This time I mean it. I am making fun of you not because you deserve it, but because it is so easy to do. You set yourself up for this one so beautifully. I don't mean for one moment you ever lived in such moral depravation as I hinted at in here.

Hehe... yeah, it's a crap shoot for the pope, but their only hope comes from a given virgin... which is she, however, is impossible tell ahead of the time. So the RC church plays the numbers game: The higher the number of virgins, the more likely a messiah will pop out of one of them.

The pope is a smart man and does the best under the circumstances.
