Hi Jayneflowerforyou
How is your sister doing?
She completed her first round of chemo and is feeling tired and like she has the flu. She is really dreading losing her hair

Hi Everyone. It is good to be able to chat with you.

It is hard to lose your hair....I've sure known a few who has...but it's a small price to pay...and there are so many beautiful wigs nowadays...Besides, if she's like most of the women I have known...she'll prefer to go around bald...it's freer, cooler and the in thing to do!
I'm sorry she has the flu...that is hard with the chemo...

Thanks Vivian. She doesn't have the flu just all the symptoms from the chemo. She already got a wig for when she does lose her hair and some scarves too. Right now her hair is about my length so I keep telling her she might look cuter with a short do. I agree with the fact that it is a small price to pay but it comforts me that she is stressing about that and not about the chemo not working.

I hear ya....when my girlfriend lost her hair....it was a fast trip to the beauty shop to get shaved....and a very fast trip to El Paso (120 miles away) to buy a wig and a bunch of scarves and hats...She never wore the wiglaugh laugh but we sure were cute in all those floppy brimmed hats..then I started making her do-rags...She had a hundred of them!

Hi Everyone. It is good to be able to chat with you.

It is possible she won't.My sister went through chemo for ovarian cancer as well and she never lost any hair at all.She too feared that so much ,but she was lucky in that regard

Hi Betts! Like I was saying to Ruth, my SIL has Ovarian Cancer. She has lost all her hair & eyelashes. The chemo quit working for her & now the Cancer Institute in Philadelphia is trying her on Genetic Testing. They say they've had a lot of success in that area.
