Did the Three Wise Men exist? Many people claim that this trio of sagacity never existed. They are fictitious, some shout to the hilltops.

What's your opinion? Tomorrow, I will provide you with documented proof (outside of the Bible) that the Three Wise Men did, indeed, exist.

What does the term "Wise Man" mean to the historians who used the term in their writings (outside of biblical text)? In other words define a wise man by the characteristics or properties that historians would have applied when referencing the term. EX: What particular people (whom) did the term apply to?

just curious, as usual.

Why are they referred to as wise men and is the association between the three and the term the same in all writings that refert to wise men of the time?

huh.. i always read and heard that Balthazar was a demon... and the bible never mentioned any names to the 3 wise men...

so you're trying to prove that three guys rode donkeys and brought gifts to a newborn? ....
