Just remembered one song no one mentioned, yet we all know it. Either you love it or you hate:
Don't Worry Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin I remember when a rumor spread around that McFerrin has died of a drug overdose, so the radio kept playing his song twice and hour all day long until they found out it was only a hoax. And btw, my first concert in the 80s: Dio....Lock Up The Wolves tour....8th row tickets at the New Haven Coliseum. I still have the t-shirt. |

How about TV shows of the 80s?
Some of my favorites: Magnum P.I. Moonlighting The Wonder Years Wiseguy Quantum Leap Spenser For Hire Too Close For Comfort (always liked Ted Knight) Tour Of Duty Family Ties Greatest American Hero Night Court We had a hard time getting reception for an NBC station, so I never watched many shows from that network until the late 80s. |

I prefer 80's stuff, to what i hear these days. I was more or less brought up on it.

Torgo, you named a few I had forgotten about!
I used to watch Tales of the Gold Monkey every week And Sledge Hammer I wish had never been canceled. That also reminded me of Police Squad with Leslie Nielsen which I loved but also was short lived. For those that don't remember, the Naked Gun movies were actually based on Police Squad! from 1982. It only lasted 6 episodes despite being hilarious. |
