I would have to guess, but probably less than a half% and they would have been stolen. The biggest problem is gun collectors who have legal guns, never used now, but sometimes stolen & used in crimes, often by Harley riders of a specific mind set. I'm sure you know who I mean There ya go, giving bikers a bad rap....they are not nearly as bad as one would think, although there are still some gangs that enforce their own laws

Burglers are VERY rarely armed here, and if you shot one who was unarmed, you would be done for using excessive force. Yep, I know it's crazy, but a hell of a lot of damage can be done with a baseball bat! Im not going to ask them if they need help carrying my stuff out the door. excessive force? Im just trying to help lower the crime rate if you shoot them outside, drag them into the house, it's a law here.

You would need a hell of a good reason to have a pistol (hand-gun), & you need a permit from the police to own/ operate a rifle. Vastly different from the US. I understand the States of Texas & California allow kids to take pistols to school. I assume this means 8-10 year old kids, " packin' the heat". CRAZY No, they are wanting to pass a law where college kids can pack the heat...I don't think it's a good idea myself...too many hotheads and illegal substances mixed together. Absolutely right!! 8-10 year olds might be safer

"Bikies" however are a whole nuther item. Virtually all drug dealing in NZ has a bikie connection, and many of the gangs have affiliations with gangs in Australia who are, in turn, splinter groups from the states. Worse yet, to my mind, are the Asian gangs, mainly Chinese

I understand the laws on social behaviour are fairly strict (even archaic)in Dhubai, where an eye for an eye means just that.
