Every big company invests in public relations. Koch Industries is very much in need of some good will. $1 million is pocket change fpr Koch Industries. $1 million is .03571% ofKoch Industries" net operating earnings in 1993. $1 million is less than 1 second's of profit earned by Koch Industries in 1993.

I just have to laugh a little at your inability to give any credit where credit is due...

Did your momma never tell you "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all?"

Really? Really? I kinda feel sorry for ya.

So, when Bill Clinton campaigned for Haitian Earthquake victims, you said nice things about him? Yes?

How about George Soros?

Goose. Gander.

When I can't say anything nice...
Well, you know how it goes.

Ah, but the _real_ question is why Clinton and Soros' humanitarian efforts would likely never earn praise from people with certain biases.

Just a guess, but I'd say it was because to some points of view, their philanthropy doesn't cancel out what that which the viewpoint perceives as NOT nice.

Maybe some people view the Koch's union-busting and politics-for-personal-gain tactics as being not so nice, and question their motives when it comes to their philanthropy.

BTW, the Mennonites pretty much invented the 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything' principle. And THEY have little in common with the Koch's and usually avoid politics like the plague.

Kochs gave $196,000 to Democrats in 2010 cycle
Yes. I'm not sure what this is supposed to indicate. 90% went to right-wing extremists, 9% went to Democratic candidates. Of those Democrats, The vast , vast majority of recipients are blue-dogs like Max Bachus, Evan Bayh and a whole bunch in Texas, Georgia and Arkansas. Why they gave $1,000 to Charles Schumer, I'm not sure, except that I believe he has voted pro-oil. Democratic party organizations do not appear on the list of Koch Industries Pac recipients. You can check that out at opensecrets.org.
