Webcam is the way to go if you do not live close enough for quick in-person meet.

There is no excuse to stand someone up. If they don't look like their picture or you don't like them, drink your cup of coffee, have a polite conversation and excuse yourself. Whether it's because they lied about themselves or you are just not attracted....it doesn't matter. If there is no connection you can't force it. No biggie. But, don't stand people up.

I agree completely anything else is playing games:thumbsup:

Ive met a load of people from online and pretty much everyone looked like the photos they had posted.

That being said, i know there are a lot of people that do post misleading or fake pictures.

My advise to anyone that is becoming in any way romantically involved with somebody is to 1) talk to the person on the phone and 2) see the person on web cam. If the person doesnt have a web cam, you can always offer to buy them one, they are cheap enough. Otherwsie dont risk getting involved further.

my problem with a webcam is that they are associated with activity that I do not participate in, and I just won't even go there...so fortunately ur already taken Dansad

I will send extra pictures even though I don't have many as I have 15 on my profile - it's the profiles with 1 or 2 pictures and u can't see the person clearly that I'd be skeptical of

I guess since my first experiences with webcam were with my mom and sister, I feel okay about it. But, yes, some do think that webcamming means sex. That's why it's so nice to be able to instantly turn it off.

ya I'm even afraid of what a guy might think about me if I admit I own one...

now a days with webbing being all too common its ok in my opinon to say that you have a webcam bc everyone has one. I mean that are even starting to become common in the work place, in schools, and on cell phones themselves.

Web camming will ALWAYS meet resistance.....

Theoretically (like Star Trek)...it is an ideal form of communication....

But, the reality is...not everyday is a "Good Hair" day.....IF there is a pile of dirty dishes behind you...if you got a monster zit....if the pix you have posted are 20 years and 80 pounds out of date.....if you got some undisciplined screaming brat running around like a crazed hellion....

Web cam AINT the way to go.

I personally unhooked mine once I saw the cheat to activate other peoples web cams...That just creeped me the hell out.

So...I befriend people based on thier personalities here. I give the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

I have personally hung out with and met quite a few people from this site and so far, everyone of them have posted completely accurate representations of themselves. I ain't dumb enough to think that EVERYONE is exactly who they claim to be...as a matter of fact, there are plenty of stories about people who play themselves up to be all rainbows and sunshine but, in reality are realistically nothing more than human trash.

Those, I disreguard.

All in all...I give the benefit of the doubt.

I kinda gotta.....my pic...I had blinked but, I like the pic so I added a couple of sparkles.....my eyes are actually closed.....is it cheating....yep. But, I don't really care.

well I don't mind the idea of being seen with my hair messy. It usually is messy. The bad hair stuff doesn't bother me that much. I actually have bad hair day pics on my profile. But cams are so often used to pressure women into things I would not want to do

I don't even want to have that conversation....so I just don;t have one.

thanks for the info about others being able to turn them on too

now I'm definitely not getting one
