Not including the dessert and drink this makes 5

-King crab legs and lobster (ALREADY shelled so no work WHILE eating)
- a cheesy fondu sauce
- mixed steamed home-grown veggies (tomatos, carrots, and green beans)
- baked potato with sour cream, butter, and chives
- tomato basil bread

- Peach tea

- Pecan Pie and coffee

I love a "fancy" home cooked meal as opposed to something that you would rarely eat at a fancy restaurant. Mainly, bc I've been to those places and been very unsatisfied.

3 things to forget:
Any kind of soup, anything "instant", anything that can't be good by itself.

Already shelled? That would be a lazy way of eating lobster. laugh

Probably so, but I don't like to have to work AFTER I start eating. It takes me out of the "zone". lol

That's like someone eating steamed crabs, wanting someone to pick the crabs for them. laugh

Don't you pay the people at a restaurant to do all the work for you?

No way. I don't go to restaurants for steamed blue crabs. Too expensive!

And I've never gotten lobster at a restaurant that wasn't in the shell. Perhaps you guys are going to really fancy restaurants.

No, that's why I don't go to really fancy restaurants. For that matter, I've had meals at Taco Bell that made me happier than meals at places where I spent $30/meal.

Ah, the comment about paying people at restaurants to do the work for you made me think you've been to restaurants that do the work for you.

Once or twice. Definitely not worth the price.

Taco bell meals always sound like a better idea before you actually eat them. laugh

OK, I'll admit that a great Filey Mignon beats a Taco Grande, but not by $25.

i love taco bell. there used to be a great hidden treasure here in newport beach. it did not even have a sign or anything. Locals only, but they had the best mignon stroganaff, it sounds weird but it was soooo good, they had all kinds of great food at even better prices...
of course they're gone now...

At the beginning of this thread, did anybody think we would be discussing the merits of Taco Bell?

Didn't know that. Tsing Tao is a Chinese beer. Similar to a Mexican beer, but a wee bit lighter.

Singmesweet, Singmesweet, Singmesweet. What am I going to do with you? OK. Lets' try this. I like puppies, beautiful music, a crackling fireplace and a nice soak in a hot tub. How are you on these things?
