If your tired after you eat than go ahead and lay down, however going to sleep after a meal is not good for the body, that is the time your body stores fat is when you are sleeping, I would recommend shortly after you eat to go for a light walk, nothing vigourous.

it is not advisable to sleep after you eat..let the food digest first for a while before you go to sleep esp at night..coz the body will convert the food you ate into fat instead of using it as a fuel right away.this fat will store in your body.results would be weight gain, and nightmares..too much eating also leads to inability to sleep..i hope this would help you..

Really though....as long as you keep your calorie intake in check you will be alright. As long as your not eating more calories than your body burns in a day you wont see much weight-gain if any. Just dont go eating nasty junk food and you will be alright. Also dont be eating things that contain sugar as this will keep you from sleeping at night. And good slep is one of the key ingrediants to staying fit.

Yep. True that. If you eat too much, stay up at least an hour or two to let that food digest. Otherwise, it goes right to your hips.

It kind of depends on your metabolism. I myself don't sleep well after a meal. Some people can get away with it. Try it once and see how it works. Keep a journal of the experience and compare it to times you don't eat before sleep.
