My number one pet peeve ! Especially cats because "the poop and pee in a box , then walk over every surface of your house with the paws they just buried their $hit with , then if thats not enough to make you gag they will cuddle up with you all night long with their parasites and disease.. Yum , Yum .. Where do I sign up ??? |

That was the beginning of the end for my marriage. I had to buy a king-size bed to accommodate everybody. It's amazing how much room a couple of little wheaten terriers can take up. We hated to kick them off because we didn't want to hurt their feelings, but that pretty much put an end to the cuddling.

I live with the dog and a cat, but they know their place. So saying, good manners isn't something that hurt! Cheers! |

I have seven cats. The female cats are allowed in the house but they have their own beds. The male cats have their own room outside of my apartment but it is inside of the building. They have their own beds.
I like the company of cats but they can be a pain in the you know what sometimes. If you live with cats you have to just about design your house with them in mind. Cat doors, beds, cat furniture etc. You have to fight cat fleas if you live in a humid climate. You can't have nice trinkets sitting around on your tables because they will knock them off and break them. You can't have plants because they will use the plant pot for a litter box and chew your plant up. You have to have doors on your cabinets to keep them out. You can't leave food on the counter... not for even a few minutes. You have to love them to put up with them. Advantages of cats: They give you a lot of love. They kill mice. It has also been proven scientifically that a cat's purr helps the healing of broken bones. The sight of a sleeping cat lowers some people's blood pressure. (But when they knock off something and break it, your blood pressure may go up.) Some cats will knock things over on purpose to get your attention. They are cute and entertaining. I love them and hate them at the same time. I even have a website about cats. I'm a cat whisperer. http://www.catwhisperer.biz/ |

I have always had a cat.. (black or black and white ones) I live alone and wouldn't be without my cat. I got him when he was 5 wks old and he is very close to me, like I was his mother.. He is an indoor cat and he does sleep on my bed every night...

Great Advice , thank you .. The next time I break my leg I will duct tape a cat to it . Maybe I am a little bios because I did property management on and off through my life and my biggest problems with tenets and property damage was a result of cats. I also have a degree in Biology and know what their parasites look like close up . Just a slide sample from their paw is crawling with Plenty of live microbes. |

I also have a BS in Biology. I guess when you own a farm with lots of critters, you just don't worry too much about microscopic fauna.

Seven!!?? You aren't one of those hoarder cat-ladies that we see programs about on Animal Planet, are you? PS. liked your website. I often thought of that but after watching the shows, I have learned that you have to have at least ten cats to be considered a hoarder. LOL If I were rich enough, I might build a special "cat" house and use it to rescue cats and adopt them out. But that is an expensive proposition, and I'm too old to start something like that. "A cat whisperer is often a host or rescuer of cats, not a collector of cats. A cat whisperer loves cats as individuals and knows that each cat will have a unique personality. While a cat collector might have their cat de-clawed, a cat whisperer would never do that, and might think of it as cruel and selfish." |

Note: Cats poop and pee in a box, but a dog will poop on your carpet. Cats will cover up their poop, but a man will just throw his stuff all over the house. You have to take your dog for a walk or let him outside to poop. Cats come an go as they please and don't pester you to take them out. If you care for your cats correctly they will not have parasites or disease, just like your children. By the way, children also get parasites and disease. Do you hate children? |

Uh-oh. Sounds like Comptech got your goat.
Speaking of goats, we raised a bottle baby in the house, with diapers, of course. I snuggled her in beside me in the bed because it was really cold. One of our friends kept her bottle-baby kid in her bra to keep it warm. |

Uh-oh. Sounds like Comptech got your goat. He has never had the experience of loving a cat. Some people never will. My X-husband did not care much for cats, but I got one for me. That cat would not have anything to do with me. He picked my husband for his master. He would follow him around everywhere, sleep with him, etc. Eventually my husband became attached to his kitty. Cats pick their humans rather than the other way around. |

Oh, there's nothing cuter than a baby goat. After 6 weeks with her in the house, I decided that a goat would be an ideal house pet if they could be house trained. Better than cats because they cuddle in your lap whileyou're watching TV without all that squirming, and they don't do that kneeding thing like they're looking for a nipple-slurp.
Reminds me of a cute video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOyPg8UM0IU |

Yes I have children ,
I have trained them to bath in the tub and $hit in the toilet. Where I live we have 6 different kinds of wildcats and signs that say "do not play dead for the cougars" I love real cats that live in the out doors and take care of themselves. Yes I am allergic and really have no use for domesticated cats . Thy are over all a bigger problem than cat lovers are willing to admit. Billions of dollars spent on these nuisance critters as we watch children starve... I can think of 100 things at least to better spend money. Not to mention , I have two broken engagements because a woman was not willing to give up a cat . LOL. ... Wow ... |
