After two years of watching the Ford Mustang enjoy huge success, General Motors launched the Chevrolet Camaro into the pony car segment. Chevrolet stated that the Camaro was named after the French word for comrade. The 1967 Camaro was based on the upcoming 1968 Chevy Nova platform.

First Generation

(Camaro Mine) SS 350/300 changed to 428/530 HP 0-60 4.6 seconds, 1/4 mile in 11.209 seconds This was a 400 small block stroker. I do think until this day if there wasn't so much tire slip these times would have been vastly improved. I only had to turn this engine 5600 rpm It had 540 ft lbs of torque the torque range was almost flat, dyno test showed it reached peak torque @ 4230 rpm. I sold the car to Charlie McAdoo at last viewing of this vehicle it was still running. It had the same paint, still beautiful 1988 with the same engine. By now Charlie has probably passed on. He was 71 when I sold him this Camaro in 1975. It is Sept 14th 2007, as I set here writing this. The spec that I put for my Camaro were at the wheel using a wheel dyno. Not crank hp rate. Did I mention at the highway speed showing on speedo @ 80 mph in 4th gear. Putting the gas pedal to the floor it would brake traction. I do not know the top speed of this vehicle it only had a 140 mph speedo. It would top out over this with ease the car was very light at speed. Gear Ratio was 2.96 chevy 12 bolt limited slip diff. I was never out run in this vehicle. Picture here click

In 1970, halfway through the model year, Chevrolet released their second generation Camaro. This generation would last for 12 years and would see the once awesome Camaro become tamed by stricter emission and crash standards.

Dodge was ment like get out of dodge get out whatever city.. just a fraze dude. But that 355 engine was use to be in my dad's '87 camaro so he spent over 20 grand on brand new one that has over 700 hundred HP. so he putt '97 engine in to '82 . He use to own both so he sold the '82 camaro to me and with my taxes finish off paying him back. It has some rest spots just miner.. Just the camaro doors that really needs to be replace and it's electric windows and i rather have the roll up kind, it is 2 top whoo hoo for the summer.Just need little bit of tlc stuff and it's not gona be some $10, 000 dollar car. Just sorta drive round muscle car just drive round, probably worth only 3-4 grand.. And i have no plains making in to that kind of car. Not saying just gona drive it the ground no but thats all it needs to be. be sides i mite trade down the road couple pf years on some 1960's firebird or camaro or some from 60's or early 70's. Later

Damn....got dizzy scrolling past all of that...

Just got a new to me ride....

I ain't picky about cars or who made them....

This is Jezebel. My current chariot that I got 2 weeks ago.

The day after I got her I was instructed to drive almost 5 hrs south to let my best friend drop the top and cruise San Antonio.

She loved it.

Then the next week...(last weekend I jetted 3.5 hours east to Dallas) to hang with my sister)

This weekend...I shoot an hour out to Breckenridge to the next Mingletard gathering.
