Snow here is a rare occurence, the last lot I recall was about 1995 or thereabouts. There was around6-8 inches, was cold & totally unlovable.

As above Tim, it's been very warm and so this morning I fitted up a new window to increase ventilation * light. Apart from any possible leaks, it's all good so far 
Not a replacement window Tim, ya just walk through the wall with a "Skillsaw", form a modest hole (5x2 feet) and slap a window in the gap in the wall

Building permit? What brand of foolishness is that?
To be fair, I admit to having got the window a few days ago, so I knew how big the hole was to be.
I probably should have had a permit also, "but it slipped my mind your honour"
