Unions were established to protect the employees from the mistreatment of management and to ensure workers with the following: safe working conditions, decent wages, periodic increases of their salary, health care, and several other benefits that many companies would not have given the workers on their own.

Has anyone ever looked at existing labor law & safety regs? What unions started is now a matter of law. Unions don't add anything to that mix and they do NOT protect jobs (ask any number of workers forced to strike or without jobs during layoffs/shutdowns and other business downturns driven by above market contract demands.

I've been on both sides of the union table as both an employee (willing and non-willing.) I've also been a company rep, participated in contract negotiations and was the hearing officer in a "union eat union" case - a perfect example of the real union purpose (building membership, making money, lobbying) even at the expense of another "brotherhood" under the NLRB.

...sorry...I digressed! This was about the Koch bros. Given the choice of the NLRB brothers or Charles/David, I know which family I'd rather be a part of.

I read it allready... so.

Truth is that our current society being what it is...

The true 'plan' put out by the people that planned those rallys will come out...

Someone that recieved it will post it to the open net... Like twitter or facebook or even youtube (even though they wern't supposed to).

That is the nature of the electronic age.

Then America will find out... 1. Unfriendly news services were to be mobbed by chanting people.(and even what they were supposed to say).

That doctors got paid to be there.

That people were to form moving chains around the buildings so the 'count' would be high (old cattle herding trick to 'fudge' numbers for higher pay - run the herd around a hill and bring them back to be counted twice.

You can fool some of the people some of the time... etc.

But what is it all about... Fund raising. Every Union web site has funding 'buttons' with 'sob' story lines so people will send money...

This is not about worker rights in Wisconsin... It is about funding for the 'political' war chest.

Now by your own admission, and with your own words, who is ignoring anyone that puts up a truth you don't like?

Truth...

By switching to a non public employeer Mr. Walker saved that county a LOT of money... (which of course the arbitrator reversed).

Non public employeers do not take their workers retirement from the public funds... ergo way less in long term costs.

I am suspicious of the arbitration process in this... Someone did not do all the math.

LMAO

They don't?

They do **** like this,

Janet Chandler
In 1979, hotel clerk and Hope College senior Janet Chandler was found dead in a snowbank along Interstate 196 near Holland, Michigan. She had been raped. Initially treated as a robbery, the case remained unsolved until a group of Hope students produced a documentary that uncovered a sex and drugs party atmosphere at the hotel, which had been occupied by dozens of Wackenhut security guards (assigned to protect the facilities of local manufacturer Chemtron during a bitter strike). The documentary prompted a reopening of the case, and arrests of six security guards and a hotel supervisor who was Chandler's roommate. In November 2007, two individuals plead guilty to charges, and the remaining four then-guards were additionally found guilty of her murder.

And this,

Wackenhut and Miami-Dade
A dispute between Wackenhut and Miami-Dade Transit arose from allegations made by a former employee, who claimed that G4S Wackenhut over-billed Miami-Dade County for work not performed. As a result of the allegations of that lawsuit, the County ordered an audit of the contract in 2005. That audit was completed in 2009 and came up with an amount of estimated overbillings. In response, G4S Wackenhut filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging, among other things, that the audit’s findings were erroneous. In February 2010 the issue was resolved. Miami-Dade County commissioners approved a $7.5 million settlement agreement with Wackenhut Corp. to resolve the dispute.

Fanta, here is the big picture.

Galendgirl is an expert on Koch.
You are not.
The websites you post lie blatantly but you never seem to care.

Please compare the number of jobs you have created to the number
the Koch Bros. have created and get back to us with that number.

Phase I

Flood the internet with propaganda and lies, 'feel' good stories and twisted 'journalism' (yellow journalism - bought and payed for).

Phase II

Start protests in key states that have legislation which will slow the agenda... (agenda being total government). Attack media that is filming, reporting, and invesitgating instead of 'supporting'.

Phase III

continue to flood internet with propaganda.

Coordinate nation wide protests (and lie them into being the same thing as the Eygptian protests)... but make them 'appear' to be 'spontaneous' by 'fooling' the easily fooled left media.(easily fooled because they 'believe' the propaganda).

Attempt to 'force' compliance with reporting as though this activity is 'Egyptian' style quest for freedom... by threatening letters to mainstream media (cnn, abc... etc - this will back fire as these institutions may have lean but they also have principles).

Phase IV

Increase pressure by having 'hidden' elements within protests act in violent manner... and twist propaganda to place blame on 'other side'... (You will know when this is about to happen as the 'propaganda' will hit the 'media' before the actual action occurs.)

Now we watch...

I reckon you will have to actually read it to find out...

and understand what it actually does.

Limit the ability to increase expenditures of public funds in the future for benefits the PUBLIC does not recieve.

Provide for an alternative to laying off thousands of people to make up that budget shortfall.

as far as the propaganda that lowering future tax obligations has a direct causal effect on the budget shortfall... That is the same balderdash being claimed on Federal budgets... Future tax obligations are 'unhatched' eggs... That money does not actually exist.

Yet everyone made plans to spend it before it was ever collected. (and it would have not been collected because those effected by the TAX would have taken their business elswhere... and the tax 'collection' would have been rendered smaller by that very action).

You didn't even address the issue I brought up. There is so much of this "lies and propaganda" in the news that It's hard not to trip over it. Here's some more of it.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has sparked massive protests by proposing . . .give his administration the power to . . .sell state public utilities through no-bid contracts.
The bill includes a provision that would allow the state to sell or contract out the operation of heating, cooling, and power plants without a bidding process and without consulting the state’s independent utility regulator. Democratic legislators worried aloud that the process would attract abuse, and Jon Peacock, director of the Wisconsin Budget Project, called the no-bid approach a “red flag.”

The Koch brothers have some interesting entanglements with Governor Walker.http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/govt-and-politics/article_7e8aa25a-3ec0-11e0-9923-001cc4c03286.html
Koch Industries, which owns the Georgia-Pacific Corporation and the Koch Pipeline Company, operates gasoline supply terminals and a toilet paper factory in Wisconsin.
Koch Companies Public Sector LLC occupies a seventh-floor suite at 10 E. Doty St. According to an unidentified tenant there, the lobbying group moved in two weeks before Walker was elected governor on November 2. Jeffrey Schoepke, the company's regional manager, did not return a phone call seeking more information on the firm.
According to the Government Accountability Board's website, the firm has seven lobbyists who "represent various Koch Industries Inc. companies on public affairs matters, including Flint Hills Resources, LP, an energy purchaser and refiner & transporter of petroleum and Georgia-Pacific, LLC a manufacturer of paper, wood products and building materials." The group's lobbying interests are listed as "the environment, energy, taxation, business, policy and other areas affecting Koch Industries, Inc. companies."
The group has had a lobbying presence in the state before, with four contracted lobbyists from Hamilton Consulting billing just over $97,000 for services during the 2009-11 legislative session, according to the GAB. Three of those lobbyists — Amy Boyer, Andrew Engel and Robert Fassbender — are now joined also by Ray Carey, Jason Childress, Kathleen Walby and Jeffrey Schoepke.
The lobbyists for Koch Companies Public Sector registered with the state on January 5, two days after Walker's inauguration.
The expanded lobbying effort by the Koch brothers in Wisconsin raises red flags in particular because of a little discussed provision in Walker's repair bill that would allow Koch Industries and other private companies to purchase state-owned power plants in no-bid contracts.

It's also fun to hear some of the recorded phone call when Walker got punked by Koch imposter. Here's 10 minutes of the 20 minute conversation.http://news.firedoglake.com/2011/02/23/walker-punked-by-fake-koch-brothers-call/

'It's also fun to hear some of the recorded phone call when Walker got punked by Koch imposter. Here's 10 minutes of the 20 minute conversation.'

the web site listed has 'edited' the conversation...

I heard the 'tape' right after it was released.

the governor did not condone the stated 'planting'... He said that he felt it was not necessary because the protest could be handled with out such activities...

If it was actually the governor and not an 'actor' on a 'prepared' tape.
