Little Miss Muffet, sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey.

Along came a spider who sat down beside her and said,

"HEY! What's in the bowl?"

Now allow me to introduce you to the next level of artistic supplies for coloring artwork. Look these products up:

Prismacolor Art Markers

Tria Pens

It is like using water colors in marker form except you don't get the variable fill pattern (pen marks) in your color areas. The blue would be uniform. There is a special pen both makers sell that will fade an area as well giving you a lighter color.

The Prismacolor pens are less expensive and offer two tips, wide and fine but you will not be able to do sharp detail work like line work with them. Prismacolor colors fill great and don't bleed easily. The sets are inexpensive but the price will raise your eye brows. These are used in professional art industries. They run about $3.50 a pen individually. Prismacolor pens offer a LARGE pallet of colors as well.

Tria Pens are the premium pens and offer a line tip as well as a wide tip. These pens are spendy at about $5.00 a pen. The results with these pens are better in some ways but I found that combining the two sets made a huge difference in capitalizing on the individual capacities of each pen for more stunning results.

BOTH pens have the same properties as water colors and effects can be done like blending colors, overlapping colors, bleeding colors, tincturing colors, I mean heck, you really need to experiment with them to get an idea of just how versatile these pens are for artwork.

Trust an artist to lead you the right way! This piece could be colored in a very spectacular fashion with the right supplies!
