this is an indication of how estranged I've become from the contemporary music scene. Esperanza Spalding won the grammys last night, and I had never even heard of her. I found some samples on the web. She is wonderful! I think I'm in love again. I am so proud to share a home town with her.
I just created a a Pandora station based on her, and I'm liking what I'm hearing. |

I am so proud to share a home town with her. she is lovely, its not often the grammys recognize jazz artists instead of pop sensations I would have also been happy if Jenelle Monet had been nominated, but Im sure her time is coming. She has class(uncomon for female artists these days unless its country) AND real musical talent as an instrumentalist, songwriter, AND vocalist |

Ya know, I'm hearing a lot of Chick Corea in some of this stuff. I haven't listened to him in decades. I had forgotten how much I loved his music.
