i wanted to see if people out there go to singles parties, and how popular are they in your area? I am thinking of throwing one, but before I get to invested, I wanted to see how strong the interest is for single people

They're setup a lot on other dating sites.. Typically in that persons area that is setting them up... I've never gone, I really don't find that venue appealing but I think a lot of people from those sites usually go..

I always up for a good party! The question is what KIND of party? I don't want to wind up dressed up for a nude jacuzzi party!

I would try and see who in your area has interest. Prolly post something on several sites with dates and times and ask people to e mail ya. Then set something up at a local bar or something.

I've never gone to one because a.) I'm not particularly interested in parties, and b.) all of the ones I've seen mentioned are held in bars; I don't drink,I don't go to bars, and I have no interest in meeting people who do. But it does seem that some of the gatherings draw large groups of people.... |

My sister had went to some in her town,,a local single's dance.
And she said they were fun? So I had told a buddy of mine about them,,he then went to one. Found a lady,,now they've been married about four years.. So I guess they work....

But it does seem that some of the gatherings draw large groups of people....  there was one for Ohio once that sounded kinda cool that was not at a bar but it was at a remote campsite in the Appalachins somewhere - I think W. Va or Ky - but since I would not have known anyone/traveling alone, I thought the better of it would have been loads better than a bar, but I couldn't gauge the safety of it unfortunately - that's the one thing about pubs- at least it's a public setting, but ya, not my thing either |

Another site online has parties at a local restaurant/ bar where they have a band and also at a golf course where they have a party room.. They almost always have a good turnout...
