It looks pretty interesting. I'm hoping to get around to reading it one day. It's about 10,000 pages long, doing a verse by verse analysis. Hope y'all find this useful. drinker

The bible is blatantly Communist.

Leviticus 25:35-38: "If one [...] becomes poor [...] help him [...] so he can continue to live among you. Do not take interest of any kind from him, but fear your God [...] You must not lend him money at interest or sell him food at a profit. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God."

Acts 4:32-35, "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had [...] there were no needy persons among them [...] the money [...] was distributed to anyone as he had need."

Acts 2:42-47, "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching [...] to the breaking of bread [...] everyone was filled with awe [...] all the believers were together and had everything in common [...] they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they [...] ate together with glad and sincere hearts [...] "

"Economic democracy" is the system whereby two wolves and a sheep vote on what to have for dinner.

Boy ain't that the truth! rofl

Oh absolute, it would be the greatest hypocrisy ever for a Christian to reject communism in the name of the biblical God.

The biblical God, and Jesus in particular, totally support communism, social welfare, and a fascist dictating form of government.

In fact the biblical God's Kingdom of Heaven is indeed a the ultimate fascist dictatorship without a doubt. Only God's will is done and there shall be no arguments! To even remotely protest would be considered insubordination and blaspheme against the fascist will of God!

Supposedly you can't even gain entrance into heaven until you've already resigned yourself to being totally at the mercy of God's will only. You must forfeit your own will completely.

Ironically someone just mentioned in another thread that if God wanted mindless obedient robots he could have just created them directly. Well, duh?

Why didn't he then? Clearly that's what he's demanding! You must agree to become a mindless obedient robot to even be accepted into his heavenly kingdom. Take any opposing views or opinions with you and you will be instantly rejected at the gate for not being 'pure of heart'. whoa

Only mindless robots are indeed welcome! shocked

If you have any thoughts or ambitions of your own, you need to go follow Satan! pitchfork

Generally reasoned thinking and a refusal to believe in things without demonstrable proof is sufficient enough to allow you to LEAD, not follow...

unless ones thoughts and abmitions are IN Line with the necessary conditions of the house

not everyone is WELCOME in my home, they dont have to be robots to come in but they do have to have CERTAIN common traits and values to do so

there is quite a difference, a robot does what he is programmed to do with no thought

a human CHOOSES what he will do

as to the rest, to reject any form of government 'by label' strictly on the bible is foolish

as there is no PERFECT government and all will have failings where biblical guidance is concerned

COMMUNISM is not innately a bad thing and neither is a 'dictatorship'

unless freedom for freedoms sake is the goal
there is indeed another option, for me, which is my CHOICE

I have no particular adversarial reaction to the idea of someone IN CHARGE if that IN CHARGE person is going to always have as their root what is BEST for me, in fact I prefer it to possibly going in the WRONG directions on my own

if I had that person who could ALWAYS give me the numbers that would hit the lotto, I wouldnt mind being IN SUBMISSION to their knowledge as opposed to having and using the 'freedom' to guess the way on my own

If I have a balance of productivity and charity, I also have no problem with it,,there are many more ways of being productive than 'earning' a paycheck from someone else

You read all 10,000+ pages of the analysis in the OP already? If you had, you would know that your interpretations are wrong. Either you didn't read it or you have reading comprehension problems. In fact, another Christian Scholar, Stephen Carson, has demonstrated that the Bible does not ordain government at all-it in fact condemns it. See "Biblical Anarchism" -http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/carson2.html

P.S. you can go directly to North's analysis of Leviticus here-http://www.garynorth.com/freebooks/docs/html/gnlv/gnlv.html

Let me preface this by saying that an ad hominem attack isn't constructive to a conversation.

But to clarify my point, no, I did not read the 10,000+ pages of the OP because I believe doing so would be unnecessary. I have read the bible in its entirety, as well as several analysis and commentaries, and I believe that i made a very good case for my opinion by providing several verses, in context, to support that viewpoint.

I do agree, however, that the bible is very critical of organized government of any kind. I believe you have a narrow view of communism though... I don't mean communism as in the Soviet Union or China, but rather in the sense of COMMUNAL living, without the need for a government. This is communism at its purest form. In Russia it was the standard party line (and myth) that the government only existed to protect the proletariat from the bourgeois, and that once the communist state was established, the proletariat was empowered, and the evils of capitalism vanquished then the state would wither away and the people would be left with a perfect, self-sustaining, communal form of anarchy.

The reason I decided NOT to read the absurdly long commentary provided is that I found its PRIMARY thesis absurd, namely that "The Bible mandates free market capitalism." In fact, the money changers and people selling sacrificial animals within the temple was a very good representation of free market capitalism... and Jesus drove them all out with a switch! Jesus mandated that anyone wanting to follow him would have to give up all earthly possessions and rely on the kindness of strangers to clothe and feed them... the examples go on and on.

Communism is "a socio-political movement that aims for a CLASSLESS and STATELESS society structured upon common ownership of the means of production, free access to articles of consumption, and the end of wage labour and private property in the means of production and real estate". Anarchy is "A social state in which there is no governing person or group of people, but each individual has absolute liberty (without the implication of disorder)". They are not mutually exclusive... and both describe quite nicely the perfect society lauded in the bible.
