The former Presidentdecided to cancel a planned trip to Switzerland. The article cites two reason. The fear of protest demonstrations and a move to have him arrested as a war criminal. Bush has never been squeamish about being protested, so I'm guessing that it's the threat of arrest that worries him.

Like it's pointed out on several occasions.

A president can't act alone Congress has to approve a war or invasion.

At least, that's the excuse given every time Hussein makes a plan or promise.laugh laugh laugh smokin

A right-wing member of the Swiss parliament also demanded last week Bush's arrest on war crimes allegations if he came to the country, according to Reuters.

Swiss officials countered that, as a former head of state, Bush would be protected with a level of diplomatic immunity, and Keren Hayesod, the group that had invited Bush, said the court actions against the former president did not play into the decision to go forward with the dinner without him.

I wished this country would have him, Cheney, and Rumsfeild arrested and tried.

It just pisses me off that Obama gave them a free ride.

The prosecutor for that country said he would not file charges against President Bush. So nice try.

thats true too, the only exclusive power our presidents have are vetos and pardons

anything else is a collaboration with congress, involving constant negotiation and compromise ,,,far from a dictatorship
