Blowing winds take my light away,
all this snow,
coming, building, more and more.
Can't see the road,
Steering easy with my heavy load.
Dodging wrecks, staying off my brakes.
Snows still falling, big white flakes.
This isn't my idea of fun,
But its gotta get there,
its my run.
Experience has helped me stay alive.
Still, black ice makes for a scary drive.
White-outs blowing up as I drive through.
Many going into the ditches, out of my view.
Some will die, many will slip and slide.
All of this every year, just a part of my ride.
Stopping here now, parked safely off the road.
Still knowing, soon,,I have to keep going with my load.
If you have to travel in times of blowing snow.
Please, beware of us big rigs, just so you know.
If you pass us, don'T cut us off to fast, for if you do.
WE CANNOT BRAKE, SO WE SLIDE, RIGHT ON TOP OF YOU!
