I always try and open doors for the ladies. My mama would smack me upside the head if I didn't......... 
Hahahah sounds like something I use to tell my son I would do to him if he did not..... 
Actually if they do great I do appreciate it and don't mind returning the favor....But it is not something I expect. But now to walk in and not even hold the door so you can get it makes me think dammit what an azz.....

I hold doors open all the time, not even on dates, just out of courtesy. Not all the time though.
