my life will be in balance in 13 months...........and 1 day

Good for you, nothing like a plan!!
plan what

13 months and 1 day you will find balance...till then keep all the balls spinning. Keep all the hopes happening. You set this date of 13 months and 1 day...mark it on your calendar and lets see where you are then.

Hi Chrissy waving
Good question  . Mind/Body balance is very hard to achieve when you have children. I have always been a crafter/sewer/
quilter so when my kids where young I found peace and solice doing that. I did the work/homemaker role all their lives and it does slow down after they leave home. I read a remark once:

The first half of your life you are raising your chilren to be independent and move out. The second half of your pulling them back home.

That's such a true statement!! When I talk to my kids I say, "when you coming home?" laugh But, part of being balanced is taking today at face value and being happy that you accomplished what you did and not kicking yourself for what you didn't.

Thank you very much. Your response really resonated with me. I spend way too much time thinking about all I haven't done and never focus on what I have accomplished.

Thanks again.

I always seem to work so hard on one that the other three start slipping,,,but Im a step closer each day to figuring it out

I see you (from your posts) as very intelligent and a very deep thinker. All good. BUT perhaps you would benefit from some relaxation. It needn't always so serious.

Have you found it? What are you trying to balance?

My answer is No and I have been trying to for years. Between work and kids, I just can't seem to find my balance.

Any suggesions from those who have found it?

single parenting doesn't give us the luxury of balance....
we just keep on, do our best, love our children and ourselves

I don't think ones life is ever in complete balance with the everyday stresses in life. Kids, work, bills, home, love, etc... It varies day to day, minute to minute it seems. I live by the motto "one day at a time", sometimes that's hard to do too with unexpected surprises. I feel my life is more in balance now than it was two years ago. I lost my home, my wife and don't have kids. I guess balancing my life at this point is under control, hasn't been easy but in some ways it is.
