Yes,,I'm a Mother,,,,And like many, many other.
I'm a Mom who lives on the edge of her seat.
Don't get me wrong, this is not about me being off my feet.
It's about my Pride, my will, my love for my child to feel.
You see he enlisted to serve this Country and fight for its honor.
Just like so many others, their all now, fighting brothers.
Let me assure you all. There have been many days I felt I would fall.
Many times waking, in fear of that 'terrible' call.
Through this past year, I have learned to stand Tall.
Because my Son is no-longer a teen.
HE STANDS TOUGH AND PROUD, you see, he's a UNITED STATES MARINE!
And just like all of THEM,,WE MOM'S wear OUR cover...
On it,- reads---- "I'M A U.S. MARINES MOTHER!!!
WE RAISED THEM TO STAND AND FIGHT, GOD AND COUNTRY IS THEIR MIGHT.
WE STAND BEHIND THEM WITH OUR COURAGE TO CARRY THEIR LIGHT.
WE STAND TOGETHER IN OUR PROMISE TO DEFEND THEIR HONOR LIKE NO-OTHER.
WE WILL SHOW THIS WORLD, ITS OUR HONOR TO BE A U.S. MARINES MOTHER.
Semper Fi, FOR THEM WE WOULD DIE,,,,,OOOOOO-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

AND BE ONCE AGAIN UNITED WITH THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS..
GOD BLESS EVERYONE OF YOU FOR THE DEDICATIONS OF RESPECT AND HONOR YOU ALL HAVE GIVEN TO HELP SECURE THIS LAND WE CALL HOME.
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU FOR MAKING OUR LIVES FEEL SAFE AND SECURE!

Your poem was very sweet and powerful , to many times a mother is forgot when her child go off to war.
She is left waiting and wondering if her child is now at death door.
hoping that a letter or a military personal won't come knocking on her door, saying, "Mrs.... I am sorry to inform you...."

This is one of the things a mother dreads most, never wants to see,
but she stands proud and tall knowing her child is with the U.S.Marine's
She stands proud and tall knowing for children like her's we stand proud and free.
We salute those mothers who have gave all that this country can call freedom ours,Because her child is with the United States MARINE"S.

this is dedicated to a friend who served and came back disabled by fighting to save our freedoms, he is awesome!

Terry,
I am a Mother of 2 Marines. Blessed to have them safe, though they have both been to Iraq. I am still on the edge as they both could go at any time. I would say it was the most difficult when they were in Iraq at the same time.
I will admit, I have not always held strong. When Gunny was diagnosed with TBI. He has given more, they both have given more than we will ever be allowed to understand.
Thank you for this very poignant piece.

My friend's son was wounded this weekend. He will be ok but has has surgery. She says that he keeps saying he is not suppose to be here from what happened. Today all of us feel very blessed that God spared this young man. The amazing thing is that he can't wait to get back to the frontline with his "brothers". Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks
