A person can become angry and still be civil and I believe the people requiring it from their leaders would make a difference. Calling them on it in letters to them would be an excellent idea. Wow... Reckon that would take a while. How many congresspersons and senators are there? Plus of course the President. Using your own arguments he also is guilty of such 'language'... Oh and then you have all the lead-in speakers at just about every political rally... The state level legislators (they ALL ran some seriously twisted ad's). Some sheriffs and other elected officials... The people that make those ugly political ad's. The people that PAY for those ugly political ad's. Opinion merchants from every major news show, magazines(even playboy, penthouse, etc.. ran nasty ads), blogsters, pundits, political experts... ad infintium. People that cut and pasted those same articles, opinions, nastyness and what not to social sites net-wide. The man in the bar that saw some ad and agreed with it loudly (jeez - there is a nut job at the corner table - he might have been set off cause the guy agreed with the ad). .......... From what you have posted I am left thinking that what you appear to want is for those that have conservative values to shut up, sit down, and let unacceptable (and quite expensive) changes be made. Please correct me if I am wrong. Of course you are wrong. You actually knew it typing it. Any public leader that makes violence inciting language as part of their method of getting a point across needs to be addressed. The president hasn't made any hate speech at all. It is one of the reasons he was elected versus the McCain/Palin terror train. Calling the president everything but his name. Not all conservatives are right wing fanatics. I don't want anyone to sit down and shut up. If I did feel that way I would not even read a conservative post or thread on here. Or read right wing hate sites to see which madness is going on there today. Or listen to garbage on Fox News Channel. I believe it is best to keep informed and it not all good that is for sure. No links here so you know what that means.... |

No links here so you know what that means.... We have a differing opinion. I saw the adds myself (i.e. not told by some leaning news pundit).. President made several 'incitefull' comments. During the last 2 years I have seen many such comments (to my horror) from all participants in the election process at local, state, and federal levels. I very nearly did not vote because in my humble opinion none of them were worth voting for... (the other and in my opinion most aggregious and sickening part of the elections in the last 2 years is how much MONEY has been spent attempting to wrest control of MY country for one party or the other - while we all suffer) |

I absolutely agree with AB on what he said.....I won't quote bcs the darn things has become just too darned long.....but yeah the money spent in elections could feed the poor......and wipeout all the foreclosures in the US in one fell swoop
