seriously of course people judge a book by its cover it is the american way lol. Thats why I own so many books that I never finished. But I keep looking and every once in a while I find that book that I can't put down. Its no different with dating. We all keep looking because we know those good books are out there. some of us never learn and keep buying the flashy cover. And some, like me, dig deeeper and give all the books a good look.

I can only assume that I'am ugly cause I get very few looks lol.

Well, you haven't been posting in the forums long. Once you start doing that, you'll definitely get more looks. Confidence is a big thing, though, and saying that you assume you're ugly isn't showing any confidence.

careful some people put photos on here of themselves when they were younger and lure people that way , it happened to me once on here

Did they just have one picture? Or several from when they were younger? If just one, next time, ask for more pictures!

I haven't met anyone who posted old pictures, but I have met more than one guy who has lied about their height. I am not a tall person, so when they end up being shorter than I am, it's really easy to tell they weren't truthful.

My experience on dating sites so far is that most people just picture surf, if the picture is liked, contact may be made, if not it won't end off!
It's a bit like going to a book shop and just looking at all the covers, not reading the appendix in the book, just picking the book totally by it's cover!

I think that's the big problem with internet dating compared to meeting someone in person, ie socially, work, chance meeting in a supermarket etc, you can have a chat in person, it's totally about the person then, not a picture!
