survived when the odds were against you, I know I did. was flatline in the middle of the street. one heart surgery and one pacemaker later am still around and very active.

I almost died in childbirth. Was in the hospital for a month before and a month after.

They gave me 24 hrs to live when I was 4 and 48 hours after surgery...I had a form of menningitis and pnemonia at the same time...They wrote me up in the medical books in the U.S. cause that's where we lived at the time...For being the youngest to survive both those illnesses at the same time!!!!!!!!

The nearest I came to death was in the Falklands war in 1982.

I had disembarked from the ship sir Galahad, and 10 minutes later, it was hit by an Argentinian missile.

I lost three of my best friends that day, amongst many other collegues.

guess the closest for me was when they finally discovered my dysfuntinal thyroid no longer functioned...by that time it had gone on for so long, after they ran the tests, started me on meds...Dr. said if it had gone on too much longer my heart would have stopped. I literally slept the whole year of 1996 away and don't remember whole lot of what happened that entire year.

have been hoping to hear from a young lady, I said a special prayer for he when she entered the hospital for treatment. must say she looks very beautiful today. ^_^ !!!!!!!!!!!!
