Sarah Palin said the responsibility for the Arizona shootings rests solely with the alleged shooter and blamed "journalists and pundits" for manufacturing a “blood libel” by blaming it on political rhetoric. Do you agree?
I wonder who tells Palin what to say? Who is ventriloquists who has there arm up her butt and makes her mouth move to their words?

yes, i do...who pulled the trigger? and why do you keep bringing up palin?

Blood libel (also blood accusation[1][2]) refers to a false accusation or claim[3][4][5] that religious minorities, in European contexts almost always Jews, murder children to use their blood in certain aspects of their religious rituals and holidays.[1

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_libel

Poor Sarah allways the victim.

Yes, for Sarah to take responsibility would be too much to ask

Following this morning’s tragic shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Az) and 19 others in Tucson, Sarah Palin‘s PAC removed a controversial graphic entitled “Take Back The 20” which used a map and crosshairs from a gunsight to target Democrats during last year’s midterm election.

The map, which includes the statement “It’s time to take a stand,” features the name of Rep. Giffords as one of the targets.

The map was reported on by Veracity Stew last march and we have continued to criticize the graphic and Palin’s constant use of the term “Don’t retreat, reload” at public events.

I think what people are saying is that all the rhetoric is leading to a violent climate.

I am finding Palins use of the term "blood libel" in defending her bat sh** crazy rhetoric interesting.

Somehow though a case could be made that hitler didnt gas the jews himself personaly but his actions led to it.

You know all you are doing by brining up this blame game towards Palin is making yourselves look bad.Everyone can see that Palin had nothing to do with this.Everyone knows this idiot was planning this years before the Tea party was even a movement.

The fact that the right has remained civil and not tried to exploit this tragedy only gives them all more respect.People will remember who is pointing fingers and who is trying to blame people and make them look bad for no reason.I feel sorry for Palin and many others on both sides of the issue share my same feelings.Palin doesn't deserve this treatment and she shouldn't be the scapegoat for something she didn't have anything to do with.

Let the left and the usual people on this site keep up their stupidity and hatred.Any news station, newspaper,or other media outlet that keeps blaming people only to slander them will have more falling ratings, less public opinion, less popularity, and less association with the General public.

Nothing they are doing is helping this issue it is only causing more grief. The left should follow the example on of the right and remain silent and respectful instead of pointing fingers and calling people insults.

No Thomas all we are saying is the violent rhetoric can lead to violent actions. People are products of their environment. Sure most emotionaly stable people can withstand outside influences but the sad fact is a large part of the population suffers some type of mental illness. Particularly those who follow the extreme right wing idiology

words cannot kill people...peoples actions is what kill people. by what your saying right now, i could blame you for this happening, by your hatred for republicans. your words could have influenced him to do this.... so how does it feel for you take some blame? you and a few others on here are no better than the media, by blaming everyone else under the sun instead of who actually did this.

Considering none of my words have been inciteful of violence as Palin and others, I have no problem taking responsibility for my words.

Palin and others need to be held responsible for their hatemongering and fearmongering that creates a hostile environment.

I wonder how many there are who believe the political environment was not responsible for this tragedy(Id say his obsession with this figure could arguably qualify him as a political fanatic) but dont likewise alleviate religion as responsible for tragedies done by religious fanatics

I tend to believe in social responsibility so far as my belief that EVERYTHING affects something else and all choices lead to other choices,,,,which is why I can aknowledge the concept of 'responsibility' over 'blame',,,,but it would be an interesting side by side poll if the questions were asked

is the political climate responsible for the recent shooting?

and

is the religion of Islam responsible for 9/11?
no, he was in love with her and crazy to boot... and yes, islam is to blame...
