Flowers, jewelry, pretty words...there all great, but a man that will be with you in the trenches, that will support and encourage you, that thinks you are just as pretty when you've been crying as when you are at your best, is what I prefer. He doesn't have to "save me" or fix anything, just be there for me...emotionally, physically, spiritually. I will respond in kind, because that's love. The flowers and material things will follow, but that's just gravy!
