Child of Art
At a tender, young age I was frivolous, Clueless, and devoid of true virtue Artlessness caused me to flounder And obfuscate what was true art But only upon seeing you Did a shimmer of light pass through me Your elegant beauty gained prominence And made a beggar of my being Your disposition: soft and lady-like But with genuine womanly strength As if art had bore life And had spoken in my presence But in some paradoxical way, Your simple demeanour drew me near You felt not to stand out Yet I always noticed you I know not what true beauty is, But you have proven it existent And by your enticing simplicity, I know what true art is |
