Topic: Well, it made a comeback once for a short while...

So are we really ever going to see a wave of 1970's nostalgia again? bell bottoms seem to be making a slight comeback! Can America take a new pass of the 1970's way of life?

Peace signs seem to be the rage with the youngsters nowadays. (I even sound old to myself ) Toe socks are easy to find (never did get those...) Tie dye never really went out did it?

I am a hippy chick and very proud of it and my daughter is too..the music. clothes. attitudes....lol. I sort of stayed there and she kind of followed my lead

I sort of stayed there and she kind of followed my lead There is a hippie side to me at times ~ even though I was on the tailend of that era and was more exposed to it via my older siblings. "... the attitudes..." - I think that's what I mostly relate to somewhat. But come on -- toe socks?? How and why would anyone wear those things? It's like having a roll of toilet paper between each toe!!

WHAT????? The 70's were hideous!!!! Birth of the mullet Polyesther.....eeeewwwww Spandex on people who didnt look good in spandex. Barry Manilow Plastic Platform zip boots (dad still has his) Monsterous pubic bushes the 70's was a great time to grow up but make no mistake....it was not a pretty sight.

Lets see...The 70's The Habs winning 4 consecutive and basically ruling the 70's with 6 cups altogether. The Lords of Dogtown Great football Great Olympics Great TV Series Great music. Whether it's Disco, soft rock, or Rock And Roll. Gerd Müller and Franz Beckenbauer helping Germany win another World cup. And Barry Manilow rules. lol. No guilty pleasures here

i'm still stuck in the 70's time warp....never found a good enough reasons to move into the 80's

My personal best look was in the mid 70's. First of all the beauty of a young healthy out door type woman. Hair to my butt, all thick, shiny and wavy. Boot cut jeans with the cowboy boots I wore to train horses and teach riding, but I am talking a night out here...so blue cotton work shirt over a white tee and my signature blue topaz and sterling dangle earrings. May I say that a big difference between then and now is that most of us (females) didn't know our beauty or our power. I think that the tattoos and body piercings of today's young woman are because they get it! I envy them that and wish I had known how beautiful I was, when I was. That I had known my own power back then. This is NOT 'fishing' I know I clean up ok now too, just saying I admire the strength, if not always the 'look' of today's young woman who know what they have, who they are and are not afraid to strut it.
