Just had my first IM call on Messenger to a foreign country(Phillipines).Signal was clear and crisp. I wonder if it works as well in the US? I guess one has to be on Yahoo Messenger and click the "voice call" emblem at the top to hear them. It was an experience for me that I will always remmeber.

It seems like yahoo always lags way behind google on features; its good to hear that the other main providers are catching up. I've really enjoyed free voip calling (from gizmo and now google); the quality of the connection varies...but so do cell phones. Thanks for posting this. |

No intentions of raining on your parade (sounds like you're pretty jazzed about your call) but had you heard of skype? I'm pretty sure that's still free for skype to skype overseas. It's a more mature (and secure?) voip, anyway. Works pretty slick. I talk to my homer gal in VA and it's better than a phone call. And no time limits.
Just a thought. |
