What in the hell?
I go away briefly to deal with the friggen tree and lo and behold, my thread about nothing has morphed into...well, I dunno...something?! Unreal...too friggen funny!! |

...on your house and rips the railing off your back porch and you're not home to hear it, do you still have to clean it up? Damn winds are wreaking havoc around here. Luckily it only landed on your railing, a few years back we had a windstorm here and the tree fell on the house, right over where my daughters were watching tv. Insurance paid for the clean-up but with just a railing, it might not be covered depending on how much your deductible is. |

Apparently now we need to know if the tree has a hole or a branch?

Oh man! I am dying at the expression on Pats face on his second reply!!!!!! (I realize it is the same as the first reply but somehow more uncomfortably appropriate. I have NEVER...and baby I MEAN NEVER seen a topic skew off tangent like this thread has. Like watching Charles Barkley golf...if you have seen him massacre a swing you know what I am talking about....someone U-Tube it! (Tiger calls it "the ugliest swing in golf") Ok....lets see if we can wrestle this back on topic....lesbian beavers who f'kd up that tree behind wrights house and dont play golf with Tiger or Charles Barkley but, manage to make Pats look extremely uncomfortable. They get my vote! Ah, Krupa, you crack me up. Thanks!! |

I just have to clean up the remaining branches on what's left of the back porch. My son dove back into the house just in time. The genius was standing outside watching the trees snapping all through the little forest out back. He's a keeper I'll tell ya! |

Hi, not sure where you live but I live on the coast of Maine and we too have winds!! Big sustained winds! Last spring the wind dropped a huge twisted branch from an over grown Weeping Willow crashing down on my back fence...lucky for me it didn't land on my garage and wonder of wonders I was planing to tear down the fence! That said, I can relate to the potential and all the real damage wind does. We had sustained 90 mile an hour winds last winter, whole area was black and without heat, some for days...Hope your clean up goes well and that your railing is the worst you get! |

What's really funny is that Vermont is the perfect place for lesbian beavers to exist if they did exist! Have I mentioned I'm moving in the near future?! |

I'm a little south of you in northern Vermont. Just watched the news and we had 100+ mph winds at the top of Mt. Mansfield, not far from here. Hurricane force winds went through the little ravine I live in, I'm surrounded by trees. Last year we lost the other corner of this building... I just don't want one to fall on my truck. Or my dog. Or the cats. I'd be okay if a falling oak brushed by a few of my neighbors but that's a whole different thread... |

Sounds like you need to duct tape lesbian beavers all across your house to provide cushioning and minimize damage from falling trees. Plus, with thier fur, it should really boost the insulation factor.
(This is called being environmentally friendly and using naturally replenishing renewable resources...ironic since they are lesbians but, I aint one to question nature) |

Was posting and hit something on here and lost it so if this is a double post I apoligize.
Anyway, the locals tell me that the winds we have had since I moved here a year ago are atypical, sometimes they make me feel jangled, all keyed up. Hope your wind subsides and ...you're right - the falling on neighbors thread is probably best left unsaid but I sure know where you're coming from! Neighbors who let their 3 yappy dogs bark for over an hour starting at 5am!!!! Falling trees, loaded guns..of wait I agreed not to go there! |
