Some people say yes, get antivirus for droid and others say no, it isn't needed.
Is it really necessary? Are there really viruses or malware in the wild that can affect my droid?

At this point I wouldn't bother. The risk is still very low. Still I'd recommend following these two basic rules even if you had the software.
1) Anti-virus software will seldom keep you safe from malicious apps. Get your apps from trusted sources like the Market, or do enough research to make sure the developer is trustworthy. 2) When you see bait, look for the hook. Don't visit porn sites or other questionable internet destinations while on your phone. |
