How can you defend something like this though? If your were a parent, and a child of yours had done so many bad things, but once seeing your love came back to you in forgiveness and contriteness for any damage done, would you not take him/her back? I'm sure you would, and yet God who is more loving then we wouldn't?? The Christians thrive off of a hateful God. That's what keeps their religious bigotry alive. Without a hateful God they wouldn't be able to threaten people with their religious bigotry. A jealous hateful God is the heart and soul of Christianity. He's their Holy Demon. Without him they have nothing to beat people over the head with. God is not hateful nor do we threaten anyone with our beliefs. We get threatened with the idea of hell and damnation surely, if we dare to think different. And BTW, it is possible to believe in God, and not believe in a book claiming to be His word. Just saying. Hell isn't a threat my friend. For even as believers we do not know whom will go to heaven or will not make it. We have no right to tell you that you're going to burn in hell for not believing for heck that person may not even make it to heaven. Faith without works is dead and vise versa. Just because someone believes in the father doesn't mean they'll make it to heaven. So these people telling you and or trying to scare you with hell is possibly in danger themselves. And BTW, it is possible to believe in God, and not believe in a book claiming to be His word. Just saying. Not quite. You more so believe in the possibility of a god it seems, rather then believing in the father himself in exacts. Because if you don't believe in his word, you would then not believe in what it tells about him, and that would say you don't believe in him for that is all the information we have about him. See above as to that, and I don't agree either. One can definitely believe God exists, and not believe in a book that is CLAIMED to be His word, not that it really is. All the information we are told about God comes from man, keep that in mind. Yes handed down documents of history with incidents with God. So yes you can believe in the possibility of a God without the information in the bible. But it's impossible to believe in God but not the God in the bible, kind of an oxymoron actually. But just how do you know you haven't been deceived by man? You are assuming man is telling you the truth, when maybe they aren't. How do you know the God of the Bible is the actual God? Because getting to know God is more then just reading the bible, it is a personal relationship. You can feel the presence of the lord, you can hear the lord speak to your conscience if you listen. God is there and knocking, just gotta open the door for him and he'll show you all things. |

No, God can't be found in a book, but that book contains the knowledge to find him. Call it a map if you will. |

people try to understand God he is who he is he dont need to explain anything to us! God loves us unconditionally hes merciful and loving, Gods way are not our ways he sees things diffrent then we do, hes understanding and forgiving he loves us thats all we need to no if god is love, then there would be no need for hell... If there wasn't a separate place such as hell then heaven would be like hell. Satan would be in heaven causing trouble for everyone, putting everyone through misery, he would make heaven just that, hell. Excellent point, CowboyGH |
